Watch the trailer for Your Highness, it looks hilarious. James Franco, Danny McBride, and Natalie Portman. The trailer mentions butt fucking and compares a dude's hand to a vagina, so you know it's going to be epic win.

Battle: Los Angeles

Looks like it might turn out to be a good invasion flick.

Once again, not a Movie, but

The Cape

It looks like Batman meets Spawn with a bit of Houdini thrown in for good measure.
Starts in January.

Potentially bad news about Deadpool movie: http://movies.ign.com/articles/113/1138094p1.html

Quote
Comic book writer-artist Rob Liefeld has taken to Twitter to rip 20th Century Fox, the studio behind the feature film adaptation of his comic Deadpool.

CinemaBlend points out a steady stream of insults hurled by Liefeld at the studio, the reasons for which aren't immediately apparent but obviously Fox did something to piss him off.

Here's a taste of what Liefeld tweeted today:

"Dear FOX studios, get your act together. Deadpool is not Green Lantern, not a family film. DP is "filthy" think Expendables $$ w/ RR"

"Also FOX, find your balls and film the script from Rheese and Wernick. You will make loads of money and thank yourself later."

"It boils down to this, Ryan Reynolds, Mr. Sexiest Man alive paired with best comic script ever written, no-brainer....make Deadpool happen!"

Looks like Fox wants to turn Deadpool into a PG-13 movie. After the first Punisher movie was rated-R and didn't sell well, I figured their wouldn't be another, but a Deadpool movie should be at least borderline R rated if not fully.

I'm not hip to twitter lingo, or whatever lingo 'Expendables $$ w/ RR' translates into something meaningful, I know the movie Expendables, and I know what w/ is, but other than that I'm lost.  If anyone knows let me know.

RR = Ryan Reynolds and the script was pretty damn good.

The level of violence is no different than maybe Kill Bill or what I've seen on The Walking Dead and Misfits.
There was plenty of blood and some dismemberment but nothing that should get it a Hard R since violence is pretty acceptable by US standards.

Marketed right, I'm sure this movie would be alot better than what I've seen of Green Lantern, R rating or not.

I trust 20th Century Fox's decision... After all, they did such a great job with X-Men Origins.

I can't believe I managed to type that with a straight face. XD

We're talking about a character who has shot himself in the head simply be because he bored and needed something to do for a few hours. The movie about that guy should be R-rated.

This is apparently old news, but I just found out that the next Spider-Man movie is going to a reboot, and will start with him in High School again. Even more frustrating to me, is that they're doing the multiple villain thing again which I hated about Spider-Man 3. This series has some of the best super villains ever, and they deserve more than a passing glimpse, like Sand-Man got.

Unless the next Spider-Man is going to do some sort of alternate-universe storyline, I can't see the point in watching this.

Yeah more than 2 villains is just a bad idea, and even just 2 is tricky. Reboots are great sometimes but I liked the original two Spider-Man movies enough that I don't think it's warranted. We shouldn't feel the need to reboot a series every time it has one bad movie (Spider-Man 3).

Maybe the powers that be just thought it would be too jarring to an audience if both of the original lead actors changed.

I'd agree that it just seems as if it's too soon for another Spidey reboot, but I suppose Sony feels the need to cash in on the movie rights while they still have them.  Still, it will be interesting to see how they try to differentiate the new movies from the old.

Sony has to reboot to keep the series alive or the rights revert back to Marvel. Same with Ghost Rider if a new movie isn't out by 2012 I believe (I think Nick Cage is already already working on it).

As far as Spidey reboot though, I heard it was switched to College since the actors involved looked a little too old for Highschool. That shouldn't really change the story much if at all though.

Maybe a Spider-Man reboot will allow Sam Raimi the time to make a decent film... like Evil Dead 4!

I hope Sony goes massive budget and fails, unless of course they do an alternate universe story. But apparently one of the villains is going to be the little known ProtoGoblin so it seems they're reaching in the wrong direction.

If they didn't want to continue the established storyline, a one-off story might be less jarring than a reboot. Everyone and their mother saw the first Spider-Man. A reboot so soon makes me feel cheated, especially since the first was by far the best, and this reboot will have to top that not to be considered a failure.

2 villains works only if there is a definite lesser villain. Only Nolan seems to be able to really handle it though.

Actualy I forgot that there was only 1 villian in the 1st Spiderman movie, but Spiderman 2 had 2 villians. Spiderman 3 pushed it too much with 3.

@Shaymin

Why? What about 3D detracts from the movie?

Maybe movies don't 'need' it, but do movies really 'need' color and sound to get their point across?

Silent black and white films were plenty entertaining, why ruin them with people talking, and color that distracts from the story?

Oh, and those fancy new cameras are the future. They are RED Epic cameras, and Peter Jackson has ordered 30 of them to shoot The Hobbit.
