Tecmo brings their photophile horror series, Fatal Frame, to the Wii
 http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=14471

Tecmo announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show that the fourth entry in their Fatal Frame series will appear on the Nintendo Wii. The game will be developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, who is currently busy with No More Heroes. The Wii's motion controls should work in the context of the Fatal Frame franchise, which leads you on a spooky quest, generally through an abandoned Japanese village, with nothing but a camera to battle ghosts and ghouls. Given the first-person perspective conveyed through the camera lense, encounters are hair-raising, to say the least, and the level of immersion offered by the Wii Remote promises to make battles all the more terrifying.

This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

BUY! BUY! BUY! this is NOT terrible news I love the Silent Hill Series and I've always wanted to play Fatal Frame because it looked so cool!  Now I can and maybe if this is a good game and sells well then that will convince Konami to at least consider bringing Silent Hill to the Wii in some form or another BUT A REMAKE OF SILENT HILL 1 WOULD BE AWESOME!  I can't wait!
At some point, I'd think Nintendo fans would get sick of the anticipation and just say "screw it," but Nintendophiles are odd, odd creatures indeed.<BR>—Chris Carle, IGN

So that must mean that not only will the game feature blocky cell shaded characters, but will also include an assassin who is hunting the dead!

Well, schoolgirl. Assassin may be a bit too high a title for someone who just stumbled across an exorcism camera.

It is... =)

As for the game, it's by Grasshopper, so I know I'll at the very least be watching it very carefully...

I remember that at least the first 2 games were quite good.  Mostly using sounds to really present a scary and haunting environment.  I think this is great news because the Wii controls are literally perfect for this game.  Pointing to take a picture will be great.  Specially if they make you go into First Person Perspective with a limited view because you are looking through a view finder.

Great stuff abound.
