Ok, it's killing me.  Chances that there are many hardcore PC gamers in this forum is pretty slight, but I thought I would post it here anyways, as it's the only forum I visit these days.  (I am not a hardcore PC Gamer myself, I just like to tweak my hardware).

I got over 800 points today when I ran the benchmark for the first time.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=17049

I promptly started overclocking everything in my computer after that, and got my score a few points shy of 1100, but unfortunately the futuremark servers were too busy for me to upload at that time.    I did save the scores though, thinking I could load them and submit them later.  HAH!  It's a feature that is missing from the free version, although the manual says no such thing.  (Yeah, I am a little ticked off about that).

Anyways, I am also having some huge problems with the demo in this version.  The first test runs fine, but the second part of the demo either crashes at the start or midway through.  It's really bothering me, as I love what I saw so far, and I would like to see the whole thing.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Hell, even if you haven't, post your score, no matter how pathetic.    I am curious what people around here have to show.

EDIT:  Managed to upload a new score.  200 points better than the one above.

ECS K7S5A
Athlon XP 1800+
GeForce3 Ti200
256MB PC2100 DDR
SB Live!
40GB UDMA 100 7200RPM HDD

Not too shabby of a score for a PC so outdated by the standards imposed by the benchmarks.

Eh, I need to get my lazy ass done with my rig. Whenever that happens I will post my score.

So what are you building?  Mine is a hybrid of many computers I have had over the years.  It's got pieces from a 286, 486SX, P-120, and my Celeron 600.  Most of the parts come from my Celeron, so they are kind of outdated now...  The only really new thing in my computer right now is the memory.

60GB 7200RPM Maxtor HDD
Maybe  DVD-RW drive 4x faster than 2.4

Man....  I wish I had that much money.    But seriously, that's a pretty nice rig you have in the works there.  What are you going to put in for a video card?

I have a Ti4600 laying around here, but I am seriously thinking about updating to a 9700 or 9700Pro. After the FX drops I might upgrade, but until then I am staying with the 4600.

My buddies and I pooled to help me build me a new rig for my birthday.  When all is said and done, I will have an Nforce 2 asus board, AMD Athalon 2000+, an ATI 9000 Pro and 256 pc 2100 RAM.  The ram will definatly be upgraded soon. I am pretty excited about this new rig as it will allow me to push some nice frame rates on the games we play(CS, UT, UT2k3, Q3).

Any specific sites you are getting your parts from?
pricewatch, newegg, etc.?

Man, I just wish I was that rich...

I am a Canadian, so I don't know how much help I can be, but I bought my parts from www.hltechnology.com.  It's one of the better Canadian based sites.

all in all this computer cost me about $1650, but it will have to last me a while, atleast until college (3 to 4 years). I will probablly pick up a water cooler down the road and OC both my GPU and CPU up a bit. I haven't ever OCed a P4, but one of my relatives is familiar with their architecture and is fairly skilled at OCing...well I should get my CPU in on monday, I have a few drives laying around so I should be able to get most of it booted up in about a week. I will probablly have benchmarks in 10 days...

Well, no question you will kill my score.  I have some tweaking yet to do, and I am determined to get it above 1100 points, so as soon as I have some free time, I will be doing that.  I am guessing that with your GF4 Ti, you will probably get between 1500 and 2000 points though.  It seems to be the norm from most people I know.

I ordered my parts from newegg.com, the service there is just increadible.  I broke my thumb, so it is likely my buddies will be doing most of the putting together now.

Can't argue against newegg really, except sometimes I can find better deals when I search around on OC sites and from the geeks around here.

Newegg does tend to be a couple bucks more, but the service is so amazing, I can't argue.  Occasionally there is no shipping too, not sure why.  My friend and I ALWAYS get out stuff and it is always in a timely fashion with email updates as to the status of the order.

Newegg has had the best service from the stuff I bought. So far they are the only one who has had my stuff shipped at a decent time and gotten it to me early.
