Nintendo Gaming / RE: Eternal Darkness 2 Marketing Tactic: Reasons

There are way to many things pointing to SK not leaving that I'm willing to bet this is a hoax.

Hahaha, that would be funny seeing link stab snoop.

The person that i think would be really cool is Ridley. I also agree with some of you guys that we should get some of the Capcom guys like Mega Man(with all of the upgrades from MMX) and Viewtiful Joe. And the way I pictured Joes was that he could aim his power at one player, and he could charge them up too. so lets say he has a team mate so he uses the fast forward power on his teammate and he kicks butt that much faster. or there is an enemy running at Joe and joe uses the fast forward power and the guys runs of the cliff. the more he charges the faster and longer he remains like that.

What time zone are those in?

I would like to see Nintendo go online but only with some of their biggest titles. I think Mario Kart online could have been profitable, not very but I don't think they would have taken much lose. Another game that Nintendo would do well with online is Super Smash Bros. but those are the only online games I think Nintendo should have gone online with just because of their huge popularity.

This isn't supposed to be here. Sorry about that.

And Mouse just to be clear. I totally respect and agree with your opinions. I am only 17 so your pretty much my peer. So don;t get the idea that just because im arguing against you doesn't mean i don't respect you.

What are you talking about, your analogy makes no sense, all humans have two eyes whether they keep them or not is a different story but all humans have 2 eyes. But what seperates us as humans are our experiences, and living in different time periods changes a lot of the experiences we have. Kyosho grew up earlier in time then you did Mouse, therefore he will have different experiences, and while you may be content with what Nintendo is giving us, Kyosho who lived in the greatness of the SNES, expects a little bit more. Its not to difficult to understand and though your right, age doesn't play a role in most debates it does in this. Kyosho wants to see Nintendo as he remebers them in 1993 or so when Nintendo was the king of this industry. You probably weren't as involved as he was and dont remember as much about the NES and SNES era.

I wouldn't say it's all crap.  Being how you're young, it's quite obvious your taste for games will differ from other people that have been through Ninty since its conception.  I've played nintendo since early 80s, and it made me expect MORe from Nintendo.  The SNES days were definitely one of the more captivating Nintendo periods for me personally.  But it's obvious you would think otherwise.  There are undeniably problems with Nintendo whether it be their philosophy or games... you already admitted that.  SO what are you trying to say here? You seem to be changing opinions left and right and dont have a very consistent view on things.

Mouse thats all he said, he never said he could make a conclusion on the games you like based on your age in the first place. Maybe its you whos reading a little to quick cause you seemed to have misunderstood something about what he said, you've been making a big deal about something that isn't and its getting annoying.

General Gaming / RE: Is this E3 make or break for the GC?
« on: May 05, 2004, 05:24:57 PM »
Yeah but the better Nintendo does the more publications such as EGM and GI write about their games which is good publicity. I heard that MP2 was going to be on the cover of GI this month, thats huge publicity, GI has a fan base spread over millions across the country and every single one of them are gonna have MP2 shoved in their face. I remember 2 years ago EGM had the three Nintendo stars as the cover, again great publicity.

Mouse, Kyosho has a point when regarding age, Someone who is 15 is going to experience the SNES differently then someone who is 7. Don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion despite your age, I'm only a year older then you, but, I wasn't as involved with Nintendo when I was 7 as I was when I turned 13. I wasn't checking news sites everyday to see whats happening in the industry, something which Kyosho could have been doing. He could probaby remember playing more games then I can because he was older, I'd bet the same goes for you as well. So I think that there may be a difference of opinions because of the differences in your age.

As am I, the fact that Dennis said something before anything was final baffles me. Personally I believe that SK is now a first party and in development with Eternal Darkness2 but thats just me. One of the other thing that got to me was that billy(at GI Online) said that SK would announce an exclusive for Nintendo. The last thing is that completely odd coincidence that not 1 but 2 websites reported the news at E3. Come On, thats just creepy.

Ok, we all know that online is not profitable but heres the question, is the money lost hosting online gaming made up for by the benefits like better public outlook and better 3rd party games and stuff?

I wonder if the Silicon knights game is gonna be one of those suprises that Matt C. was talking about. Maybe Mouse was right and Silicon knights isnt going 3rd party at all, but first party. Doubtful, but not Impossible.

General Gaming / RE: Big Nintendo Announcement
« on: May 02, 2004, 07:54:39 AM »
Whatever it is don't get your hopes up for anything on this board. Nintendo has been known to suprise us I mean look at the DS. I had never even heard of a dual screen handheld mentioned anywhere. So I'm not gonna assume that there even is a suprise right now.

Sorry!

Woah, since when was Criterion not makeing Burnout 3. I was under the impression that both games were being developed by the same developers of their preceding games. I thought that the only thins different was that EA became both games publishers.

I think it will bigger then a game announcement but I also don't think it will be good for Gamecube owners in any way. I wouldn't be to suprised if they announce that they made a deal with Microsoft with the ESPN sports line up since MS recently stopped making them.

Then agian there are already screens on the net so my idea is probably wrong.

Isn't SEGA owned by Sammy or something, or did that never happen.

Yeah I really don't think Sega would reenter the hardware business sorry. But I do believe that Ian's idea here would be really great. It would definetly add some variety and stuff and it would leave Microsoft with no Japanese developers, which would kill any chance of Microsoft making it at all in Japan. So lets see Nintendo gets exclusive content from Sega and hurts Microsoft, well I'm all for it then.

And when Nintendo releases 3D versions of those games they can release the orginals as a pre-order bonus so people who haven't played the originals can.

Burnout2 was a lot of fun, the crash mode was probably one of the most fun I've played in a racing game this generation. One of the Rush games holds the top spot for all time.

I'm not putting anything past SK. It could be real or it might not. The only big thing that is keeping me from believing that this is totally true is the absence of an official announcment.

Well, AiAi, why can't Nintendo use a propriety mini-disk that utilizes blu-ray technology?

awesome, I didn't think there was a chance that there would be sequel because of the poor sales but I'm glad that Sega is making one anyway.
