I guess this was "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy 2004" game that was advertised at the end of the Return of the King game.

Edit: I can't upload anywhere? Who wants to host? It will only be less than a megabyte.

TalkBack / RE:PGC's 5th Birthday Contest Bash!
« on: March 15, 2004, 11:09:14 AM »
I sent in a video with mario music and references to gamecube. The GameCube logo appears in the background. Would this video be eligible or do they count as "copyrights" we can't use?

I posted on the PGC forums before it went ezboard. Unfortunately, most of the games I've been looking forward too are already out, so I don't post and discuss as often anymore.

TalkBack / RE:Kirby Creator Quits
« on: August 06, 2003, 05:44:37 PM »
As, a fan of Kirby, I am saddened by this. Hopefully his departure will not hinder the game-making process at Hal.

While I would think one SB game per a console's enough, I certainly wouldn't mind another, since Melee lacked many characters I hoped I would see.

TalkBack / Gamer Stereotype Broken, Says Study
« on: July 08, 2003, 01:47:14 PM »
My question is what the study calls a "gamer." If a person follows mainstream hype and only plays games like The Sims, DDR, or GTA, I'm not really sure if this person qualifies to be considered as a gamer.

Also, the study says games are a very "social" activity. I know a lot of people who insist that they watch me play a game. When I offer them the controller, they refuse, insisting that watching is more entertaining. Would these viewers be considered as social gamers even if they lack the will to experience the gameplay and instead observe the slightly less critical aspects like graphics or presentation?

Well, I shouldn't be complaining. This study mainly applies to college students. I am really happy to see that gaming does not interfere with academic priorities.

But do you know how much better of a place the world would be if those 2.5 million people instead bought Eternal Darkness or something?

« on: May 20, 2003, 05:17:05 PM »
Cool. I'm currently a subscriber, but I use the GameStop $10 for ten issue subscription. Does that count as a paid subsribtion? I'm looking forward to Billy's work. I have been a reader of the magazine for a while.

Nintendo Gaming / What do you think of IGN's Top 100 games ever?
« on: May 03, 2003, 02:09:15 PM »
TETRIS! Tetris needs to be in the top 5, if not, the top 3. Tetris is one of those very few games human beings have the natural tendacy to play, even when they aren't playing. It's chemically ingrained into the brain.

TalkBack / Mega Man Animated Series Premieres This Month

Wait? Which came first with Earthworm Jim? The Series or the Videogame?

I stopped watching KidsWb since they got rid of Batman.

TalkBack / First Rogue Squadron III Details, Screens
« on: April 23, 2003, 12:39:32 PM »
I am looking forward to this game. Like many GC owners, Rogue Leader was my first GC game. The description of the coop. multiplayer mode scared me for a moment, and I hope there isn't too much redundancy from Rogue Leader in Rebel Strike. I'll keep my eye on this game. I really thought the Vader secret levels were cool, and I hope they'll have more Imperial secret missions. If they're going to have multiplayer, I hope they'll have a versus mode also. While being able to use a blaster and light saber outside of the ship is great, I hope they won't put too much emphasis on it.

By the way, the Cloud Car kicked ass in RL, it better be back.

I always thought Kirby riding a warp star would make a neat racer.

TalkBack / Billy Berghammer Retires From Planet GameCube.com
« on: April 18, 2003, 08:41:53 AM »
We'll all miss you Billy. I'm going to start resubscribing to Game Informer. I remembered when I first visited PGC that this is one of the very first gaming sites that I've seen that cares more about the games than the page's profitability. That what I loved about PGC. I don't know if I would have played as many great games if I haven't see this site. Good luck Billy.

TalkBack / Mother 1 + 2 Announced!
« on: April 17, 2003, 02:28:41 PM »
While the GameCube could use big titles, I'm sure an Earthbound GameCube game is not what Nintendo is looking for. The only people who may be interested (especially in America) are people who have played the first game a long time ago, or have became interested after seeing Ness in Smash Bros. I'm pretty sure a Mother GC game would be great, but it won't turn the tide in competition. I'm looking forward to seeing this odd RPG hitting the GameBoy.

TalkBack / E3 Videogame Music Concert Canned

Oh. Thanks for clearing it up. Well, it's not like I'll travel all the way to LA just to see a concert anyway.

Nintendo Gaming / The Death of a Zelda Fan: my WW experience
« on: April 17, 2003, 01:35:14 PM »
To me, the Wind Waker had everything that made the past Zelda games great. It provided a sense of exploration. There was a sense that Link started nieve and small but ended with Link mature and brave. Miyamoto said that every Zelda game was about exploring. (Watch the TLC show "GameHeadz") He pretty muched summed up why I loved every Zelda game that I liked. To me the nostalgia didn't much matter since Ocarina was my first Zelda game.

TalkBack / E3 Videogame Music Concert Canned
« on: April 17, 2003, 01:04:57 PM »
I haven't heard much about this concert in the first place. If this is an E3 concert, the concert, like the rest of the expo, won't be open to the public, right? Either way, I hope they'll come out with a cd or something. To bad it was postponed.

TalkBack / Must See Miyamoto TV
« on: April 17, 2003, 07:06:34 AM »
Seeing this show only made me want to watch more videogame-releated programming on tv. All the suddenly, i feel like getting G4 all over again. (even though i heard that channel is superficial and is hosted by people who seem like they never played any games.)

TalkBack / Must See Miyamoto TV
« on: April 16, 2003, 07:14:39 PM »
It was an interesting documentary overall. They didn't show too much of Miyamotot playing the guitar though. It was nice to see how Miyamoto's childhood adventures (he discovered a lake!) influenced Zelda.

TalkBack / Must See Miyamoto TV
« on: April 14, 2003, 10:53:20 AM »
I am so watching it. Finding documentaries on videogames on tv is very rare. The most I get are very superficial news reports intended for adults who have no clue what videogames are. I say it's about time people cover and document videogames to the level of tv and cinema on television. I don't have G4, so I can't watch that channel. I can't wait to see Shiggy on guitar, too.

Since I played Frontline, I have been a fan of the Medal of Honor series. I hope they don't change the engine for Rising Sun.
