The extra 'Mote seemed to be their biggest reason but most of them have said nothing but good stuff about the games in Play. This guy just struck me as pushing it in a similar way to how Play is pushed. "Everyone get's this" seems to be a common argument they use. The funny thing is my GF was not terribly interested in Nintendogs because it didn't have 'levels' and who likes games that have no levels? She's through-and-through casual and she could totally tell the difference between the 'non-games' and 'game-games'. I just thought it was an interesting observation.

Not suprising, I think everyone expected the Pokemon games to take the top two spots, and Silver outsold Gold when they released too. I don't know why whoever tracks France counts the different versions of God of War III as seperate games, they literally are the same exact game (at least the Pokemon games have exclusive content to justify being seperate).

Maybe, but NPD tracks individual SKU's and they combine the SKU's when they release their Top 20 list. Chart Track does the same thing for UK sales (they track individual SKU's, but they combine them for the public data).

Just Dance sells 2 million copies World Wide

Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive music and dancing game Just Dance has sold through over 2 million units to consumers worldwide, the publisher said Wednesday.

By reaching the milestone, Ubisoft said the game is now "the fastest-selling new intellectual property from a third-party publisher on Wii." Just Dance launched in mid-November last year and sells in the U.S. for $39.99.

The PS3 outselling the Wii is a disturbing trend in Japan. I hope it doesn't happen in the other markets.

I believe it was only just this week, and only because of Fist of the North Star.
Whats more disturbing is that the Wii has only had 1 or 2 decent to good game released this year and it has been outselling the PS3 since last year(with the exception of this week and maybe 1 other) mostly on the back of NSMBWii.

Tell me about it.  It's first 7 weeks (I think), it outsold itself each week.  I think it did have over 100,000 in sales twice during December though.  But I don't think it's dipped below 30,000

Yes, and it bombed. Last week it was #34 on the multiformat list (the main chart, which combines the different versions of a game together rather than the chart above which lists them by platform). This week it fell off the top 40. It's still one one chart though, it's #6 on the Top 40 Full Price Wii games.
