Now that I've become an NWR Staff member and am therefore objectively better than all you people, I've made this thread as a showcase for how rapidly this small amount of power is likely to corrupt me.


My first order of business: Since I now officially outrank UncleBob and vudu, what should I do to torment them? I'm guessing ShyGuy has some ideas.

As staff, you have various responsibilities around the site.

Meanwhile, vudu and I have all the same powers you do and none of the expectations.

I think I know why insanolord became staff. He figured he wasn't getting noticed or respected. Thing is recently I've been doing just that with his posts. Now unfortunately for him he is back to square one. Not noticed or respected... Its like a self fulfilling prophecy!

As I was going to change Maxi's title to something that amused me, I learned that I can't do that on my iPad, and I'm too lazy right now to go into the other room to do it on my computer. I'm pretty sure I could do it if I jailbroke it and installed UAFaker, but that would require even more effort.

I just realized, though, that I can go in and correct people for incorrectly capitalizing my username.

I figured you would of liked your name capitalized. When your name is capitalized it makes you important. Guess you wanted to down size yourself in importance...

The name never looks right to me with the i capitalized. If you feel like respecting me, I suggest calling me Mr. insanolord, or maybe Your Excellency.

I'm a Staff Writer, so I'll be doing reviews and news and whatever, though Neal's reasoning for bringing me on was mainly to fix the news situation, which even he admits isn't a strong point of the site. I've got a review of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D written, waiting to be edited before it gets posted.

I fully intend to remain active on the forums, and, since I'm a college student with way too much free time on his hands, I'm not likely to be taken out against my will.

Well, no, at least not on my first day on the job, but it seemed like it would be more exciting. Maybe it's just because I've been up all night, and a Friday night, generally the slowest night on the forums. Also, I didn't expect to become annoyed by the process of banning spambots as quickly as I did.

It'll get easier. Or tougher. Who knows. : On another Simple Machines forum I go to, it's pretty simple to ban members. I love doing it. Gives me a rush.
