Nothing surprising. Abysmal sales for the Wii U and Vita. Great sales for 3DS.

I'm sure the other systems won't fair much better when they are released. At that point Wii U will be the cheapest console on the market.

The only Wii U title Nintendo revealed sales statistics for was New Super Mario Bros. U, which has now sold nearly 770,000 combined physical and digital units to date.

According to GAF's usual source, Wii U sold between 30,000 and 40,000 units. The Wii, meanwhile, sold between 40,000 and 50,000 units despite Pandora's Tower being its only new release in months. I see Iwata truly IS bringing the bomb to E3 this year.

Nintendo had better have one hell of an E3 showing and an even better unannounced Fall lineup, because the Wii U's starting to drift into Vita-class numbers now.

Friend Collection is dethroned by the newcomer, Summon Night 5 for the PSP. Will the newcomer keep its throne? Most likely not. Friend Collection is poised to break the one million mark within the next month, guessing from its sales numbers. The other new release last week was MuvLuv Alternative: Total Eclipse, a PS3 video game based on a manga spun off from a PC video game spun off from another PC video game.

I would love to see a comparison of PSP vs. PSV to see if the PSV is doing worse than PSP did at this same time in its lifespan. The PSV has sold poorly everywhere (except for a 3 week boost it got in Japan from a big price cut).

I'll give the Vita credit: I said the price cut would only create a temporary bump, and that it'd be back to sub-10k shortly, but "shortly" took a few weeks longer than I thought.

Shin Megami Tensei IV sold nearly 200k copies in its first week. Friend Collection is within striking distance of the 1 million mark. Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition breaks 100k on the PS3 and 8k and 7k for the Wii U and X360, respectively. Silconera has a comparison with the 3DS original:

PSP Vs Vita (in terms of cycle timespan) 4.5million vs 6million. Vita's selling 20% slower than PSP.
3ds Vs DS 31 million vs 33 million. 3ds is selling 7% behind the ds now.

Last few months has been pretty dreadful numbers for hardware. Not sure what Sony's planning but the vita's pretty much dead in the states--which is a shame since it's a nice little system with free games (PS+).

I went to a Gamestop recently and asked how Wii U was selling. They said it sold enough to keep the system in low stock. Then, I asked how Vita was selling; they laughed.

accedentoal evidence but there were no Wii U units on the show floor at the Meijer I went today. To be fair there weren't any Vita or PS3 units as well. The one thing I did notice was the Wii U section of the cases was probably the worse of all the systems there. The Wii U software is cannibalized by so much regular Wii Product and there isn't an effort make the sections different. When looking at the Wii U its al 3DS software and old DS games are in their own bargin section off to the side.

I'll probably post in here more as I just got a job in the Meijer's electronics department.

At the Walmart I work at, it looked like they had 2 Basic sets and 4 Deluxe sets.
