This is and should be the purpose of DLC. I hope other developers take notes on how it should be done.

102
I hope this DLC isn't more than $10

If we have to pay $1 to upgrade of VC games, does that mean NES games will now be $6 on WiiU?

I think it should be $1 across the board for all VC games

Well, if all my Wii VC purchases can be transferred into WiiU VC. I'll be a happy camper. The ability to play my VC games with a Wii U pro controller, priceless...

Pikmin2 wasn't bad.  Most of the items were underground where the time limit didn't apply, but the stress of not being able to retreat without losing all your items and pikmin ( I think?, don't remember). Hands down the most stressful was the final cave and the final boss battle to rescue Louie.

I wanna know if it improves USB hard drive support. When I tried using one it ended up locking up a lot.

That's fair, a part of me does reserve judgement based on the fact I haven't played it at all. It's hard to buy a game based on such a description though

Does anyone remember screwing around with the physics in halo, where you would put a bunch of grenades under other stuff and then blow it all up and see what happens? This games seems like a game built on the very concept of gameplay, which to me, isn't really a game. Cause messing around with physics was entertaining, for a little bit, but in the end it's just mental masturbation. That's like "nobody won or lost, cause we're all winners" kind of mentality. The purpose of games is challenge, and story. Whenever i see little games like these and others on iPad and iPhone it just makes me sad like we are eliminating the challenge in games in order to dumb down to the lowest common denominator so people don't feel bad they lost?

Now, I say this without having played the game, and I don't like saying this about a game developed by the creators of World of Goo. As I did find that game enjoyable and fun

Nintendo Gaming / Donkey Kong Country SNES VC missing in Wii Shop Channel
« on: November 29, 2012, 04:20:31 PM »
Apparently you can't buy Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, or 3 from the Wii Shop Channel anymore as it appears Nintendo has pulled it sometime in November. Has anyone else noticed this?  This really sucks for me cause I never got around to buying the third game.

120
what if you plug an Ethernet adapter into a USB port?

121
no internet functionality? I'm sorry but if I was buying a Wii, I'd gladly pay 30 more for a regular one

Will this Wii mini meet the same fate as the GameBoy Adv. Micro?

Nintendo Gaming / WiiU external hard drive
« on: November 19, 2012, 02:27:43 PM »
Has anyone tried it and had success? I've tried 2 different drives I've had and it never does anything when I'm trying to format them. It just says "checking USB storage device..." And nothing ever happens, and there's never any drive activity while during this process.

Has anyone else connected and formatted a USB hard drive yet? I've tried 2 different ones and each one just says "checking USB storage device" and never does anything, and I've let it sit there a long time and it never does anything and there's never any activity on the hard drive
