Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess
« on: July 12, 2007, 02:16:51 PM »
Link, riding Epona travels over the Hyrule Fields in search of the next Fused Shadow. This is just one of your goals as you control Link in this 3-D Adventure game. But what other mysteries does this game hold?

The Legend of Zelda franchise has been one of Nintendo's top selling franchises; Twilight Princess, however, did not meet the viewers' standards, it exceeded them. Although this game may seem like the sequel to Ocarina of time, it is completely different in many ways. Characters, Items, and Control these are just a few of the changes from OoT to TP.

Twilight Princess consists of one story with many different parts, your objectives change quite often which add a twist to the game play. But one goal that doesn't change is defeating Ganondorf. Twilight Princess however adds many different obstacles along your path. First you are thrown into the Twilight Realm, not as human, but as a wolf. But being a wolf  has its advantages, you can move at faster speed and you are introduced to brand new attacks. While in the Twilight Realm you meet Midna, a small, powerful, twilight dwelling creature. Midna helps you escape from the Twilight Realm, but in return you must help her collect Fused Shadows. This is just one of the many things you must do to defeat Ganondorf. All of these story elements blend together to create a wonderful adventure game. It is probably one of the most in depth story's ever in a Zelda game.

The Game features many mini games and extras that are quite fun. For example you can canoe down a river, or try to capture stars. A fishing area is available after completing the 3rd dungeon. There are also other goals like collecting bugs randomly placed around Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess has many different attacks triggered by different combinations. For example a horizontal slash only takes a flick or remote, and for a stab you must hold Z to target, push forward on control stick, and swing you Wii remote. During the game you also become a wolf who has completely different attacks and abilities. As a wolf you can dig an use your nose to track scents. Wolf Link uses the same attack combinations as regular Link, they just look a little different. Overall the controls and abilities are easy to learn and use. In the end you will be quite pleased with them.

Just like other Legend of Zelda games, there is great replay ability. The game takes a average 30-40 hours to complete, not including extras. Once you have completed the game you can always go back and complete everything you didn't get around to. You could most likely do the story 2-3 times before getting bored with it. If you do get bored you could wait 3-4 months, and I am sure you could pick it up again. Overall for a adventure game it has great replay ability.
