Good episode guys; worth the wait!

I thought the MegaMan tangent at the end was pretty funny.

It looks like 1UP FM is going to play this game in their backlog section, so I might pick it up. How long is it?

This makes me a sad panda. :(

I enjoyed the first one, but it hasn't aged well. I couldn't stand the second one. The GameBoy Advance game was mediocre too.

The aiming being off was what turned me off from the game. It's a shame too since Capcom packed quite a bit of stuff to do. I just wasn't having much fun trying to get headshots that wouldn't register.

Here is the Heavy Rain footage: http://www.gamersyde.com/news_6991_en.html

It looks nice but, I don't think QTEs are very exciting. I've been told in Indigo Prophecy adventuring was the main focus, so maybe they won't play a huge part.

As long as it's better then Umbrella Chronicles, I'm all in. I've been waiting for a good light gun shooter for the Wii.

I listen to a many gaming podcasts on my drive to school and back. I've also been listening to college lectures while working recently.

What you said didn't sound like bashing to me; just constructive criticism. I really enjoyed Braid, but it's not perfect and understood your perspective.

After what James had to say about Strong Bad, I might take the plunge soon. Still not certain whether to buy it for Wii or PC. I could pre-order the whole season and save money on PC, but I've heard with Sam and Max episodes, there can be some rather poor ones from time to time. Not sure I feel confident investing in it.

Good episode as always.

Praising/bashing Braid? I don't like the sound of that...

I'm going to rent GTA then hit you with a car!

Just a warning; if your girlfriend is in the car, don't expect her to not mention anything.

This week for me: Madden 09 Collector's Edition (360), Bangai-O Spirits (DS), and I also got Hot Shots Golf (PS3) for cheap from Amazon.  And I actually downloaded Braid last Sunday.

My holiday pre-order list looks like this:

Rock Band 2 (360)
Fallout 3 Survival Edition (360)
Fable II Collector's Edition (360)
Gears of War 2 Amazon Exclusive Edition w/Lancer (360)
NHL 09 (360)

I haven't even pre-ordered LittleBigPlanet or Resistance 2 yet.  I'm waiting to see who has the Kratos sackboy skin available for LBP, and I'm waiting to see if Resistance 2 is going to have a Collector's Edition.

I'm going to take Bill Aurion's advice though, and get off this purchasing crazy train for a while!  I gotta play through what I already have.

Of course, I'll do that AFTER this Christmas.  ;-)

Fallout 3, Rock Band 2 and Gears of War for me as well. I already pre-ordered LBP at Gamestop, who will be supplying the the Kratos skin.

I really interested in NHL '09. I haven't played a hockey game since NHL '01 and with all the positive feedback from NHL '08 I feel ready to jump back in.

I downloaded the demo and enjoyed what I played. I couldn't stand using the 360 D-Pad either. I'll be picking up the PSN version Thursday.

I remember being in the low 40s when he joined, only for him to be in the mid 20s. I had to sit in that cave fighting bats for at least an hour to get him in the high 30s; that was a good change on their part.

You're making me want to buy it since I loved Final Fantasy 4 (played the Playstation version some years ago), but I'm so adamant on not purchasing remakes of games I already own. My backlog is bad enough as it is. Even still, maybe I'll pick it up sometime down the road.

Just curious, but do you still need grind the ninja character for awhile when you first get him or did they increase his level? Not to nitpick, but you mentioned that characters "sacrifice" themselves, but most of them never really die, even during situations when they should have.

Good review.

You all sounded a little burned out (especially Jonny). You should cut back the episodes a bit if 2 hours sessions are starting to get to you.

Good episode overall. Anticipating an interesting Braid discussion next episode. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. :D

I haven't put much thought into the story, although I thought the ending was really good (I've played it multiple times already).

I thought World 5 was easier then World 4 and 6 personally. I think the one you got stuck on was the last one I got in World 5, but I still had multiple puzzle pieces left to get in World 4 and 6 at that point.
