I'm still waiting for a Mario football game. Could you imagine that? I guess it might be too violent of a sport, but then again, Mario characters are in a fighting game. I wonder if a cross between Smash Bros. and football would work.

If you can find stores that are either going out of business or just getting rid of some of the books they couldn't sell, you can get them cheap. My sister bought a bunch of books this way for only 50 cents each.

Power-Up made GameInformer's Gear list. Maybe I'll check it out if it ever comes to my local library.

What's with all the card games being released lately? I'd rather spend a buck on a deck of cards and put down $10 for a pizza, to attract friends to come play cards. And I'm still waiting for a game where you play as a janitor. The mop is mightier than the sword.

I said IF I want to read a book, I'll buy an RPG. The last RPG I bought was Earthbound, and that was years ago. And I thought it was better than most comic books.

I thought Clifford was a cartoon?

If anyone here is planning on getting Doom III, I recommend getting the four Doom books instead.

How can you guys afford to buy books AND games? I've got nothing against books, but I can't afford both. If I want to read a book, I'll buy an RPG. They're kind of like books. Do you buy movies, too? I can't afford them either, so that's why I get movie-licensed games... just kidding. No one should be tortured like that.

"Power-Up is published by Brady Games and can be purchased at major book stores"

Right, because gamers go to book stores all the time.

If everyone on this board had officially checked-in, this topic would have over 7,000 posted messages. Good luck, and don't let Hostile Creation scare you.

PaLaDiN: I don't want to buy the DS yet because 1. It's too expensive and 2. It won't play Gameboy or Gameboy Color games.

The SP comes with a rechargible battery? SOLD! Now I won't need to spend so much money on batteries!

Anyways, getting back on topic, I'll check out the reader reviews so I can get more than just PGC's opinion (Not that they're not good reviewers). When I'm going to invest $50 in something, I like to get as much info as possible.

Thanks for the help. If I see any others, I'll just try to figure them out on my own. All I'd have to do is forget everything I know about common sense (Which isn't much).

One last question though: How do you get text to appear with that black bar over it so you have to highlight it to read it?

I wouldn't mind seeing reader reviews of the Game Boy Advance SP. I own the original GBA, and I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of people who own the original and the SP. Or can people only write reviews of games?

I didn't see L33t here, I saw it on the GameFAQs boards.
Here are some more terms:
Bump
Tier  (I saw this on GameFAQs' boards.)
Avatar
IMO
Rules  (Just kidding)

My dictionary discribes Avatar as the descent to Earth and incarnation of a diety. What does that have to do with this forum? It probaly means something else here, just like spam, but I don't know what.

Ok, so maybe intimidating wasn't the right word. But has anyone here seen the GameFAQs forums? They do have some smart people, but there are some people there who are just plain ignorant and/or mean.

Here are some terms I've seen recently:
Flame or Flaming
Troll or Trolling
L33t
n00b

I know there are more but I can't think of them right now (What's LoLleRZ?).

Hello again! I am back, after a month of being away! And now I will say something that adds nothing to this conversation! MEAT! It's spelled M-E-A-T! Why can't I remember that? And now, I will disappear! *poof*

Seriously though, this board is very intimidating. The people here are a lot smarter than I expected, after seeing what goes on over at the GameFAQs board. It seems like every time I have a comment on something, someone else has already expressed a similar thought. Oh well, fastest one wins, I guess.

And now, a question from an uneducated forum user. Please don't dislike me for asking this. Can someone point me in the direction of where I can learn the definition of the terms used here? Because that would help, thanks.

Do not mock the Nintendo 64. Saying you don't want the N64 because most games' titles end with 64 is like saying you don't want to use the bathroom because the toilet seat is pink. I still play the N64 on a regular basis, because it has the best multi-player games ever. By not buying one, you're only hurting yourself.

Unfortunetly, I am the worst with Jigglypuff! I can't stand that thing!!! But I guess I could try it anyway, although JP is so light and it'd be hard not to lose on purpose. Also, after you use Rest (Down + B), you can't move for a few seconds. Is there a way to prevent that?

I'm best with Luigi, and pretty good with Mr. Game & Watch, but he's too light for this job. I could adjust to another character, if you can recommend someone other than JP.

I've tried that single out thing, but Giga Bowser is so huge, it's hard to keep him away while I pummel the other two. I almost beat it once using this method. GB was gone and Ganon and Mewtwo only had one life. I had about 200% damage, and Ganon used that lousy Up+B move on me. Close as I ever came.

Thanks for your help.

I could use some advice. I've tried numerous times to beat Event Match 51: The Showdown, with no falls, but I just can't do it. If anyone has any tips or tactics, it would be great if you could share them with me.

KnowsNothing: Of the nearly 6,500 users registered to this forum, are there really only 10 who seriously discuss things? If so, I'd like to think that maybe someday, I could become one of The Legendary Ten, as long as I don't need to partake in any rituals.

What does Spam, that delicious luncheon meet in a can we all love, have to do with this forum?

Everywhere I go, People are always asking me "Who are you?" The last thing I need is my Game Boy asking me that.

When is a mop-styled Game Boy Advance SP going to be released? That's the only type I would buy.

I'm not sure if this topic is still going, but I'm new to this forum (and forums in general), and this is my first post. I look forward to many sleepless nights, posting meaningful, thoughtful messages on this board... and trying my best not to accidentally get banned!
