I think that summed up the majority of the twitter previews I saw.
so i already bought 2 tix for me and my daughter for next weeks premiere in IMAX reserved seating so I don't got to get there too early and stand in line. (yes I splurged... already bought theater candy for her too <spoiling my baby for her first Spider-Man movie>).

I wasn't sold on the trailers, but after some of the non-movie scene marketing (NBA and Audi commercials) I've really been sold on the character.
and seeing how much Tom Holland has embraced and wishes to LIVE the role, I'm excited for him.

Also seeing how hard Sony is trying to creep on that MCU positioning by placing "Venom" and "Black & Silver" in the Marvel Comic Universe (not to be confused with the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and making statements like "Spider-Man isn't in the Venom movie...."yet"" followed up by roll-eyes emoji faces from Kevin Fiege is just too crazy. Sony is literally edging themselves Marvels pant leg right now, because they can't just sit back and let the good vibes consume them.

I can't believe they think this will not only look good on IMAX screens, but that people will come out in droves to see it in theaters.

The camera is showing how absolutely **** the sets are.

If anybody was to use an iMax camera for a TV episode it would be HBO and even they are smart enough for it not to do it.

These days if you want a film look you are better off faking it unless you are crazy talented like Tarantino who went 70mm for what was essentially a play.

I think that is just local theaters doing special presentations. With how long they are getting, it might be worth going to see them in theaters every week when they air.

IMAX had a deal with HBO for Game of Thrones, which is what led to this Inhumans deal.
I believe it was mentioned in the article for Inhumans theater appearance that IMAX was trying to spread it's brand and use of cameras over to the TV side of things or something like that.

But I did notice that the 3rd Marvel movie is missing from 2019

It was announced over the weekend that Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) will be in Arrow season 6.

Given his particular talent to out-act everyone else on the cast it took Amy Acker to challenge him in the latter half of POI, this is going to be an interesting season.

A Wrinkle in Time has some good buzz.  And I think it really depends on what the untitled DisneyToon is.  If it's a new thing or Oswald the Rabbit, then it'll get smothered.  Disney certainly isn't leaving a lot of room for competitors.  They might box out some cheaper (hopefully crappier) films altogether.

I don't see any dates on that Disney World Domination Map, but based on the positioning of their films it looks like Wonder Woman 2 is aimed at challenging Mulan in mid December 2019.

No, because Avengers 4 will will be that 1st weekend in May 2019. That is a given.
I would guess that Captain Marvel will be Feb 2019
I would guess that Star Wars is aiming for a July 2019 date assuming it doesn't get moved to Xmas.
Putting the final 3 movies at Oct, Nov, Dec.
 meaning the breathing room Disney is giving is in the dead zone of Aug & Sept.

The last date given for Episode IX was May 24th.  If that's sticking, then you still have 6 movies in the first 5 months of 2019.

But we could probably speculate that IX will be moved to December, so Disney would likely have movies for all but three months out of the year.  Possibly skipping the summer months?

Probably safe, but there is a risk of audiences having superhero burnout by then.  You'd get two from Disney, w/e Fox is doing, so having two big movies in one month might feel like a lot.

Star Wars nerds would show up in droves to see it on May 4th, but it's not like they weren't going to sell out the theatres all weekend anyway.  Putting it out on the Saturday might just hurt the opening numbers.

It most definitely will as they would be missing out on that Thursday and Friday grosses.
If anything they should acticipate a HUGE weekend on whatever weekend they launch on, and instead launch for Thursday night, and get Wed nite preview money as well.
