I could see them quickly filming a Suicide Squad film for next year. The an for the other films are supposed to be lower budget affairs that can make up their box office stuff very quickly.

It would probably be the easiest way to merge the TV verse with the movie one. You already have an Amanda Waller and a Deadshot a d using more TV actors for a short film pretty much males it that they could show up on Arrow and the Flash again.

Timelines can be pretty much done given that MOS didn't give a year it took place in. Remember Barry is in a coma till his series start so everything should line up for series progression.

Arrow Season 1
Arrow Season 2
Man of Steel
Arrow Season 3
The Flash Season 1

Superman will sport a new do

Given that the Batman suit is apparently a completely new look, I am not going to be surprised if the next movie has a capeless Superman.  Especially because they made a point of Zod throwing him with his cape.

Damian Wayne coming to the DCAU

http://www.tvguide.com/news/son-of-batman-first-look-1076369.aspx

That's not the DCAU though.

If that is not DC's Animated Universe, then what is it?
and why does Deathstroke sound like Batman trying to use a different voice?

But he already had a son with Terry McGinnis in the Batman Beyond series (which deserves a good film adaptation).

Terrys only batmans son in the DCAU.

To answer your queaion BnM The DCAU is usally only considered the stuff that was done in a cwrtian period of time and connects with one another.

The official name for the series of DTVs after DCAU is DC Animated. It's not universe becuase there is no continuity between them for the most part.

Now that there are some production issues with Bats vs Supes, and a rewrite/fine-tuning of the script has been ordered, apparently there were some layoffs and one of those people leaked the supposed script summary (pre-rewrite of course)

*POTENTIAL SPOILERS* take with giant salt lick of course *POTENTIAL SPOILERS*

The villians are Lex Luthor and Metallo

Batman forms a UN type deal to stop Superman from destroying another city

Aquaman is in it, but not called Aquaman. He's there because the world engine in the ocean did something to the fish

Jason Momao is definitely up for Aquaman

Wonderwoman poses as a Wayne Enterprises investor to retrieve an item that belongs to her people.

Lex Luthor is in the shadows a lot, a manipulator. Not much face time with Superman.

Robin betrayed Batman at some point, leading to a falling out between them

The Batcave was super cool looking, and the mobile looked similar to Burton's

Lois is investigating Lex.

Metallo "kills" Clark

The Daily Planet is bought by Lex Luthor for PR purposes

At the end Superman is living in exile, and the Justice League is an government approved superhero team.

I'm not sure how legit this is, and the poster of this over at GAF claims no confirmation other than it came from someone he knows that used to work on the movie.

The Black Cop from Law & Orders now plays The Black Cop on The Flash.
http://www.deadline.com/2014/01/jesse-l-martin-flash-pilot-cw/

Quote
Law & Order alum Jesse L. Martin is set to co-star opposite Grant Gustin in the CW pilot The Flash, based on the DC comic. The project, from Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions, is an origin story about Barry Allen aka The Flash (Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. Martin will play Detective West, an honest, blue-collar cop who is a surrogate father to Allen. This is a familiar territory for Martin, who is probably best known for his nine-year stint as Detective Ed Green on NBC’s Law & Order. He had been approached for several pilots before choosing The Flash.

I've never been a big fan of The Flash, and I remember the TV show that aired back in the early 90's, but I'm really looking forward to this series thanks to Arrow.

That sounds. . .busy.  Like, there's just a bit too much going on.  I'm glad they're using that villain and Lex in a cool way (if all that's true), but there's too much extra.  I think they over did it with Man of Steel and are going to overdo it with this one.

I wad never into DC and always thought Superman to be overpowered.
Never really read their comics as most of their popular heroes sounded stupid.
Mostly familiar with the characters through movies and cartoons.

I really like a lot of the DC DTV stuff including the cartoons, but I really only enjoyed Marvel comics.
Ironically, I never really liked most of the Marvel DTV stuff, only some of the cartoons, like Spider-Man and X-Men.The rest were horrible.

Superman is occasionally overpowered. His best stories either don't fully revolve around him or place him in a sort of strong moral dilemma.

He is quite ridiculously overpowered when I see panels of him towing planets, or of him being basically a GOD amongst Superpeople.

SO his best stories either don't center on himself or require him to be holding back for some reason or another. other wise he has the instant win button everytime.

There is no one stronger, because "he is as strong as he needs to be". The Flash is only barely faster. He could end most conflicts with laser vision, he can freeze things with his breath, and he can fly at supersonic speeds. That's not even all of his powers. He is practically impervious, apparently doesn't actually breathe oxygen or doesn't need to, can see a a sub atomic level, can see through everything but lead, hear whispers from miles away, supposedly can read minds and some other more inconsistent powers from way back in the day of comics.

How do you fight such a creature? You have to nerf him everytime, because between the supersonic speed and the laser vision, how do you ever even get close enough to him without him knowing you're coming. how do you land a punch? dodge a punch? or even know that he moved?
He has far too much stuff going on to be interesting otherwise.
I've seen good cartoons using him, but still, he had to be held back to a point where other people were allowed to participate and we could actually follow along.

In the best stories, he's not nerfed, per se.  He just isn't shown to be "playing on god-mode".  He has limitations, and the best stories deal with them.

In All Star Superman, he's dying and has to cope with it.
In What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and The American Way?, he's pushed to a moral limit.  Int the follow up to that story, he's pushed to another extreme.

Superman can be a deep character at times, just needs to be in the right hands.

You're not reading the right Superman stories if you think his powers obstruct a good story. In All Star Superman he's probably the strongest he ever was and yet it not only spoils the plot but enhances it tenfold giving it sort of mythical feel with 12 feats.

Lots of great Superman feature him moving planets and time-traveling by sneezing or something and these were some of the finest comic book stories i ever read.
