Nintendo Gaming / Bye Bye Gamecube
« on: June 12, 2003, 07:55:01 PM »
I think you made a mistake, there are great games coming out later for GC.

Resident Evil 4(this game alone is worth keeping GC for me)
Metroid Prime 2(same here)
Killer 7(I have a high expectation for this game)
Viewtiful Joe(LOVED playing the demo)
New Mario(another high expectation)
New Zelda(with realistic 3d graphic it will be awesome)
and more...

And some of the games, I will treasure them in my collection.
RE0-1, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Ikaruga

I understand lack of game quantities for GC, that's why I recently bought a PS2 after $180 price cut, since I've felt that way as well(and I am a big FF and Capcom action game fan). But I'd NEVER even consider selling my GC.
Well I guess you could still buy GC games and play on your sister's GC, so it's not a total loss.

Picked up a last copy at Funcoland, no other places had them.
The game is very fun, the control is very tight and responsive.
I just unlocked a police car and a pursuit mode.
I will say this would have been the best racing game if it had real licensed cars.
But that's just me, I like looking at real cars, although cars on Burnout 2 don't look bad at all, and I wouldn't mind having few more camera views while racing.
Maybe I'm a NFS fanboy... hehe but this game is definitely worth checking out if you like racing games.

Nintendo Gaming / Ikaruga out tomorow anybody exited?

I watched the movie clips and the game looked awesome.
But the difficulty sways me from buying it, since I suck at shooting game...
I will definitely rent it, though.

Nintendo Gaming / Who owns a racing wheel for cube?
« on: April 14, 2003, 10:52:49 PM »
I just got Burnout 2 and it's great, and it made me look into buying a wheel to add more fun.

But I don't want to spend $70 on a Logitech<wheel($45) and pedal($25)>
so, I found this "V-Thunder Racing Wheel" made by Interact($15)

Anyone own this wheel?
how is it? is it responsive enough not to ruin the gameplay?

Nintendo Gaming / new to Resident Evil - which game to start with?
« on: March 31, 2003, 04:25:40 PM »
I see, thanks for the reply.

I got both RE1 and RE0 for very cheap and just started playing 0 last night...
Maybe I should stop playing 0(altough I don't want to) and play RE1 first...

I wondered about code:veronica too, will it be a remake or port?

Nintendo Gaming / new to Resident Evil - which game to start with?

I have a question.
If I play RE0 on easy mode, will I still get a full ending?
If not, I will just start over... I've only used one herb till I got out of the train anyway.
So far, I really enjoyed the game.

Nintendo Gaming / have you ever been so bored with AC
« on: March 04, 2003, 02:27:59 PM »
I have a question.
I got 2 memory cards on my cube and when I get on the train to travel to another town, I get back to the start of the game(red Nintendo logo appears) and the game starts with me getting off at MY town station??
I thought I would go to a different town when I get on the train, or am I missing something??
Do I have to build a whole new town on my 2nd memory card?

BTW I really like this game, I enjoyed playing it when I rented it a month ago. I held off buying it since I knew it would take a lot of my time and I was kinda waiting for AC2, but I just had to buy it last night...(those damn cute animals wouldn't get off my head!) Too bad I erased my old town, because I liked all my animals. In my new town I just built last night, I don't like most of my animals, although they are starting to grow on me... on the upside, I have sweet looking big orange trees(did I say I LOVE oranges?) instead of small cherry trees.

I look forward to AC2, I hope it will be even better than AC, not only more animals and items but also new features that will surprise us.

Nintendo Gaming / Great time for people that still don't have a GameCube
« on: February 13, 2003, 09:31:08 PM »
I bought my GC a week before they were giving out a free game!
After I had it for a week, I was searching for more game reviews, prices, and etc. I somehow stumbled on this site(the old forum), found out about the deal, and felt like I got ripped off!
I went raging back to store and told them I'm returning mine and buying it back with a free new game. At first, the store clerk was like he can't do it, then I told him to get a manager and there! I got my GC back with a free Metroid Prime.
Even without the promotion, I would have paid for the full console price of $150(which I did) and also buy Metroid Prime for the full price of $50(it was just a matter of time, I really loved playing the demo).
I'm glad I found this site and saved $50, anyway that was my little story.

I still have the original GB with green screen that hurts my eyes... I also get these annoying lines over edge of the screen while I play...
Looks like I'm getting this one. : D

I went to Bestbuy planning to buy SSX Tricky for $15, but then I saw ED for $20 and I couldn't pass it, because it was one of the top games I wanted to play. I am definitely getting SSXT next week tough.
Godzilla was $30 too... well at least cheaper than most other stores.

Post other great deals here if you know any.
