Rasterize this!
« on: June 05, 2005, 01:17:36 PM »
I'm sure many of you have heard and tried out the Rasterbator.  There is a downloadable version of it here...

http://arje.net/rasterbator

I finally decided to blow some ink on my own giant sized poster.  It is 6 and a half feet tall and 4 and a half feet wide.

Anyway, check it out, here.

I'm interested in seeing what other people have done with this... specifically Nintendo related.

It's a nice little service. By the way, if anyone is thinking about making any "rasterbating" jokes, keep in mind it's been done to death.
I am Karl Castaneda's news-posting clone, also known as Karl Castaneda #2. I have an inferiority complex, thanks to my being a clone. Fear me!

That Link poster is awesome =O  I'd do that, but printer ink is so expensive.  Hmmm......I wonder if the library charges by page, I could waste their ink.....

It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

I made one from this picture: http://faernis.free.fr/images/zelda%20excalibur.jpg

It turned out well, though I should have used a smaller dot size. Probably about 3 mm. I tested out 1 mm and it's not good. It just makes it look like a standard image stretched out.
Thanks for listening.

River City High

Really like the way it turned out, even the ,uh sub par, construction that I did.  I'm going to wait till my arm heals to print out a starboy poster I found, and then make it poster sized and frame it.

On a sidenote, never break an arm, and if you have to, go with the non-dominant one.  Now you know and knowing is half the battle
It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

I wish I could, but I don't have a digital camera. I used to have a Kodak 1 MP a long while back, but we gave it away because we never used it.

This program really rocks, next I'm thinking of doing a large one of Mario (from the PM:TTYD artwork at Nintendo.com)
Thanks for listening.
