Third parties: It needs a bigger fanbase until we make (more) games for it.

Consumers: We won't buy it until more games are released.

>Logic.

In all honestly Wii U is doing really good with the sales right now, it's just behind the Wii. And that with being $100 more! It looks to me that Third parties are just finding excuses again to not bring their games on Wii U. Even though Nintendo fixed everything they cried for...

Wow, this looks so incredible! I can already imagine the upcoming online battles with those stunning battle animations...! Also, I'm glad they decided to create a new generation to the Pokémon series, so we will see even more new Pokémons and new places to explore! We will have about 700 different Pokémons! That's freaking amazing, imagine all the possible teams that you could make out of this giant selection.

I'm also really liking the starter Pokémons as well as the new Legendaries. I'll be getting Pokémon X which features this deer looking Pokémon. :)

Hey there! I am... Kinda new here actually! I joined last year, around the time E3 2012 has occurred. (June 2011)
Around that time, I haven't been that active in the forums of Nintendo World Report, but I have been a reader of the site since a few years now. A few weeks back, I wanted to look up this forum while I was visiting the site yet again. I really liked the topics and theards in here, so I decided to participate a bit. Even though I visit the forums more often now, I am still not the most active member when it comes to posting, but I enjoy reading the whole variety of theards on here!

As for my Personality, I am a 17 years old male and I come from the European country known as Switzerland. My English may not the best, or it might sound strange, so accept my apologies for that!
Now, I even consider myself as a Nintendo fanboy. I love everything Nintendo! I do despise the competitors from them on a certain level, but I don't feel the need to show it. Most of the time I don't even care about the other companies, I just look up to Nintendo when it comes to gaming. I am also currently Nintendo-only when it comes to owning gaming systems. I actually owned a PS3 and a 360 (to see what this "hardcore buzz" is all about), but sold them as they just collected dust....
Well, other than that. I am more of a quiet and patient guy, I don't participate in online fights or anything similar to that. I am in the believe that in those situations silence is just the best answer.

I think that's enough for now. You can add me as a "buddy" here on NWR, send me messages, or follow me on the Nintendo Miiverse: "DigitalGreenTea"

Happy Gaming!

I wonder what we're going to see at E3 2013! :) So far I was pleased with every E3 Nintendo has brought to us since I've started seeing them in 2007. Nintendo has always managed to make the the game supply just right with the Wii and 3DS. So I won't see any change with the Wii U, although I do fear for some overload of games as it is the case right now, haha!

Miiverse is amazing! I follow so many people who draw images. It's all nice! The people I talked to so far are also very nice. It always makes me smile when I see people helping each other out.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: NWR Survey! What Wii U Games Do You Own?
« on: December 20, 2012, 01:41:51 PM »
I own these following Nintendo Wii U games:

 • Nintendo Land
 • New Super Mario Bros. U
 • ZombiU
 • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
 • Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition
 • Call Of Duty: Black Ops II
 • Tank! Tank! Tank!
 • Trine 2

I really enjoy playing all of them and using the Miiverse along side them. The only game that has disappointed me so far is Tank! Tank! Tank! It honestly looks more fun in a YouTube video than it actually is.
Sadly, because of life priorities I don't have that much time to play them. Some of them will remain unbeaten for quite a while. But I'm working my way on in NSMBU to collect all the Star Coins. It's a tough game, especially collecting these Star Coins, they are very well hidden.

The beauty of Wii U is to enter the internet browser in no time, watch a walkthrough and get back to play the game. :)

-Voice chat: Like, there is no excuse why this cannot be implimented, regardless if this is a port of  the 3DS version.

It does feature voice chat, the Wii U version. Here's a video showing it, look closely to the health bar. It's a microphone symbol, and I've asked a Japanese player who got the game, he said it works with headsets.

I haven't experienced any problems with my Wii U since launch. I never actually had a problem with any system. Even my old 360 from2008 never had RROD. I sold it not too long ago. Going back to my roots - Nintendo only.

« on: December 14, 2012, 02:23:24 AM »
I think you guys are a bit overreacting to thi. Get an $70 1TB External Harddrive with AC Adapter and you will never have to worry about this ever  again. Oh, and don't tell me it's too expensive, 360 HDDs cost the same and you only get around 250 GB. Here you get more than double.

I want to know what Google is thinking? The same thing happened to Android too actually, if you want to watch a video from your browser it switches to the app.

Let me know if it ever gets fixed, Nintendo World Report!

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Wii U gets little 3rd party love.
« on: December 12, 2012, 02:08:33 PM »
I think this is ridiculous... The system came out last month. Just like with previous systems, third parties will come once the system is out for longer and they get a developer kit. Most third party developers didn't have a kit when the Wii U wasn't out yet. I don't understand why sites like Kotaku always want systems to be perfect the day it launched. They need to look back and see what Nintendo has improved on over the last few console generations.

Besides, the Wii U is getting cool exclusives early next year, Rayman Legends, Lego City: Undercover, Pikmin 3 and Game & Wario. These games alone would keep me entertained for more than half a year.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: WiiU external hard drive
« on: December 09, 2012, 10:57:11 AM »
I noticed that when I power on my system, the harddrive comes on too, but it takes a few minutes after I've logged into my account and am at the WiiU screen for it to boot up register on the system. So when I initially get to the home screen, there aren't any downloaded games or the little USB icon at the bottom indicating a drive is attached. When I wait a few minutes, or go to another menu and come back, it pops up along with my games. Just an FYI for other folks who have harddrives attached and may be freaking out when their drive and downloaded games don't show up immediately upon boot up. I'm hoping Nintendo fixes this in an update, but as long as I know it's not a hardware failure on the WiiU or harddrive end, I can wait a few minutes to have my stuff pop up.

Do you use a Harddrive without an AC Adapter? Because Nintendo recommends one that has an external power supply. That is because the Wii U can't give out that much power through the USB port because it needs the power for itself, it's not a PC. That could be why the Harddrive goes on when you turn on the Wii U and causes longer loading times.

I'm getting one soon too, the ones who use an AC Adapter have more storage than usual Harddrives - I think I'll go with 1-2 TB so I never have to worry about this problem ever again. Plus, these things are cheap actually!  :-)

Based on the news stories I had read I assumed it was Europe wide, but if you're able to download 18+ games at any point in the day then I guess it's not. Interesting.

It could be because my country is not part of the European Union, which might have laws like that. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised to see similar things on the systems of Nintendo's Competition.

For which region is this? I have read about this, and over here in Switzerland all mature content can be watched and purchased throughout the day.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Scribblenauts published by Nintendo in Europe
« on: December 07, 2012, 05:52:15 AM »
I'm glad to hear the game is still coming to Europe! I was a bit worried it wouldn't come over here, since it was missing at the Wii U launch. I am not sure if I will buy it though... I got 7 games already, which take a lot of time to finish. I also want do download some games off the eShop, and then my must have games come out early next year like Rayman, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

I am really not sure if I will get it. I got the first game on the DS. I enjoyed it as far as I played it, but I wasn't able to give it a respectable amount of time because I got it late and it got overshadowed by newer games. A demo for the 3DS or Wii U game would be nice, that way I could get a little first impression!

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Worth Getting More Nunchucks (Gold even) & 'Motes?
« on: December 06, 2012, 12:34:00 PM »
It depends on what you are going to use your Wii Remotes for.
I like to play games like New Super Mario Bros U. or Nintendo Land with my friends, and Wii Remotes are needed for that. I am also looking forward to games like Wii Fit U which use the Wii Remote most of the time.

As for my collection, I will buy some more Wii Remotes with the built-in Motion Plus, because currently I only got two of those and two regular ones. I think all of the Wii U games require the Motion Plus ones. I am glad they come in multiple colors, makes everything seem more alive. :)

That seems like a good match.

Anyone think Maxwell in Smash could happen?

He would be a great addition to Super Smash Bros, in my eyes. He fits right in next to the Nintendo Characters.

« on: December 06, 2012, 06:01:51 AM »
I hope you guys are enjoying the Nintendo Wii U as much as I am! I am not able to play it as much as I would like to because of Life priorities. I got turned into a casual gamer that only plays games from 0 - 2 hours a day.  The only days I went way over that number was the Wii U weekend. (Nov 30th) I played nearly 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday. I felt dizzy on Monday, haha! I also dedicated my gaming life to Nintendo, as I never really enjoyed the systems by either Sega, Sony or Microsoft.

Currently I got 7 Wii U games, including games like New Super Mario Bros. U, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Black Ops 2. I am focusing more on New Super Mario Bros. U as of right now, but I played the other games a bit for some impressions. The only games I still need to try out are ZombiU & Tank! Tank! Tank!.

As for New Super Mario Bros. U, it's a hard game! It's way harder than New Super Mario Bros. 2 on the 3DS in my experience. I am a guy who can't miss any star coins, so the difficulty of the game doubled! I am stuck at the Ghost Ship in Sparkling Waters (World 3).

Peace and happy Nintendo gaming everyone.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Wii U console freezing up
« on: December 05, 2012, 02:59:44 AM »
I didn't have any freezings at all so far, but I did investigate why this is happening. It's definitely not a hardware issue, the Wii U provides good performance with low heat. As I was searching, I found someone saying it might be a Miiverse integration problem - as the system is always connected to Miiverse (& Nintendo Network). How does this happen? It could be because of the internet speed, but I've seen more people say it's an interference between the Wii U and the router of the user.

Another thing, one of my buddies also had a lot of freezings, but he assigned static ip addresses for the Wii U and ever since then he hasn't been experiences any freezings anymore.
