yea Gamespot stopped accepting any buybacks of nes, snes, genesis,
n64, and DC games back in February.  Then just about all the games
were gone.  But just recently they either took all the games that got
sold before that buyback initiative and cataloged them and put them
up for sale or they received a shipment of games from their headquarters
(the latter is unlikely, so it's probably the former).

Anyways, they now have tons of nes, snes, genesis, and n64 games again.
I even saw Paper Mario...

not really an amazing deal, b/c it's now the standard, but i just wanted to remind everyone that nintendo expanded its player's choice lineup today.  you can now get mario golf and wario world for $29.99 each and f-zero and metroid prime for $19.99 each.  i won't bother to privide links, since you can get it anywhere, but you can probably get these deals just about anywhere.

at the time of this post, neither best buy or circuit city have updated their webpages to reflect the new prices, but both eb games and game stop have.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

To add to king vudu'js post...  Next week only (starting this sunday) Circuit City is taking another 5 bucks off each title...

Thats 14.99 for Metroid Prime and F-Zero
and 24.99 for Wario World and Mario Golf.

That's an in store deal and they will go quickly.  If i were you, I would go in today or tomorrow, pay full price, and then price match it come next week.

check this sundays paper for some great deals,
especially Target & Circuit City.
(I forget what they were, but they were
brand new games at $38 instead of $50 in
Targets case, and the already mentioned CC deals)
I'll write exactly what the deals were later, if i have time.

Bestbuy.com has the Logitech Speed Force Wheel for Gamecube for $17.99 with free shipping (sells for about $40 most everywhere else). There's also a $10 mail-in rebate for the wheel, making it just $7.99 after rebate. The rebate form is located inside all Mario Kart: Double Dash games and other select Gamecube games (on the same sheet as the pin code number). It's valid until June 30, 2004.

My local Gamespot retail store recently slashed their prices on OH SO MANY games.  Mostly the used games including the GC ones, but don't be surprised to see close to 20 very good used PS2 games for sale (the older ones but the very good ones) for under $10.  I don't know if I'm happy or upset to see Rogue Squadron 3 new for $19.99 hehe.

Can someone provide a source that proves Soul Calibur 2 is now a Player's Choice title? I haven't seen anything and I just checked the listing on Nintendo.com.

Thanks.

Player's Choice news article

Soul Calibur II will officially be player's choice on May 25.  Some sites jumped-the-gun a week ago calling it a player's choice title, without saying when the price drop is effective, at which exact price.  Within the past week, I remember seeing Soul Calibur II at EBgames.com for $19 -- which is why I previously believed player's choice was in effect.  A couple days later, it went up to $29.  See, even EB got confused.

Just curious, why are we posting deals for Xbox and PS2 on a GameCube message board?  (btw, don't mean any disrespect to those who are posting)
