All told, the titular Ground Zeroes mission took me one hour and 16 minutes to complete, including cutscenes and about eight deaths. That's not the game clock, either. That's real time. The mission is not only short, it's dull. Your objectives amount to going to one place, rescuing a prisoner, going to another place, rescuing another prisoner and then calling in a helicopter to get you out of there. Underwhelming doesn't begin to describe it.

So yeah, the main game is extremely short.  I'd imagine if someone skipped all the cutscenes and is good enough, they probably could do it in under 10 minutes.

To be fair, it's 2980 yen (roughly $30) on both platforms it charted on, and Japan doesn't  have much in the way of rental... I suspect it'll drop off HARD next week thanks to the used market.

Japan is having a tax hike on luxury purchases, so a lot a of people went out and bought stuff they waited on until the tax doesn't go in effect.

I have noticed they are no longer out of stock in town, I checked all the stores and everybody had PS4 for sale, they still had prominent signs saying "PS4 In stock" but I think the rush has begun to wind down and now the sales will flatten out. Either that or they somehow managed to get their supply numbers up. I live in a very remote, rural town so having them in stock in decent numbers here is something.

What is interesting is Wii U is everywhere but Wii is getting harder to find, have they stopped making them yet? I have never had trouble finding Xbox One in stores here either.

I knew they were shutting down the online but I didn't know they stopped making them, I still see plenty of them in stores. Also I thought the reason for the WFC shutting down was because the company who hosted it made the decision. I just never read anywhere that they already stopped making new Wii's I thought they just released the Wii Mini recently.

It was discontinued in Japan last year, they never made a statement about the US, but I would assume they would just sell what is left on the shelves, it's not like they are actually different consoles (in any region) besides the power brick. I haven't seen any in any stores in a while.

Pokemon X & Y takes the lead as the most sold game in Japan for 2013 fiscal year followed directly by five other 3DS titles.

I think the real story is that the WiiU had 2 games in the Top 10 and Sony had only 1 game and it was Third Party one to boot and only outsold the WiiU game by 2,000.

I didn't expect that.

Also Monster Hunter you gave it a good fight.  Maybe you would have won if you split the X and Y skus.

Not overly.  I mean the LTD WiiU sales is 1,694,137 with that being said  1,120,680 not much head room to grow there.
