There are a lot of things I like better aboutthe GC one though.

For example,

I liked it better when there was a lost and found with a seperated police station.
I don't like how the townhall and the post office are one place.
I don't like that there is no dump, rathera recycle bin. I liked the dump.

Also, are there NES games in this one? That was serious bragging rights what NES games you had.

The bundle is a better buy because it is cheaper than buying the wiispeak and game separately.

I visited Bill's village. I got Greenie! It is currently on my flag.I saw some shooting stars in the night sky.GP was there when I got there.Insanolord arrived after me.GP was quite mischievous. Myself,Bill and GP took snapshots of our Greenie T-shirts. We had lots of fun.We checked out Bill's house.I love his house!

AH! That sounds so fun! lol

Two questions: Is anyone here using wiispeak at all? How do you take these snapshots i've heard so much about? Is it like Metroid Prime 3 with a dedicated button and you can take a pic anytime you like, or is there an item involved??

There are a lot of things I like better aboutthe GC one though.

I like all those things about the GC version as well. Of course there aren't any NES games, Nintendo wants you to buy them in the Virtual Console! I do wish however there was a way to find the systems as items in the game, and use them to play whatever VC games you already have downloaded. I've yet to hear anything about this, so I'm assuming you can't.

Bill had to leave before I could shake all the fruit off his trees.

I don't mind not having those so much.  But, what I really miss is having the gyroid out front of your house so you could save there.  I hate not being able to change anything about my attic "bedroom" other than swapping out the bed.  They couldn't let us change wallpaper or flooring?

Not having played the DS version, what was the method of saving for that game?

The dump was a horrible idea and made the town, well, dumpy...

Saving in the DS version of the game was the same as it is now...

1)  You just hit the (1) button, and then go to the picture icon on the menu to check and save it...
2)  I'm using WiiSpeak, as is Maxi, nitsu, Deg, Djunknown, and TheFleece at the very least (the only ones I've played with that have it, I think...)

EasyCure, I will visit your town if you get the game!
Bill, if you have your gates open some time tonight I will visit you, but no pressure as I can hold out and wait for Greeny when you return.
I use Wii Speak, but when I play alone I wish I had a keyboard because the point and click style keyboard is awkward and slow. Maybe I'll pick one up in a few weeks or so.
The only piece of furniture that has a game system is The Pink Box- it has a GameCube and something else in it, I forget. You can't play them, they're just for show. I gave it to Golden Phoenix when she came through. Maxi left me a bunch of cool stuff at my gates and got me back into the groove of donating fish to the museum so there will be lots of stuff for people to see no the next visit. I am going to try to make some patterns this week to spread around as well.

Cool cool I appreciate the info from all of you. It looks like a good majority here use wiispeak, so I'll have to try it out. I didn't wanna buy the bundle and not use it.

I'm really gonna try and buy this game this week...

No I agree the upstairs thing is stupid. In the GC version you got a customizable upstairs and downstairs!  Wayy better.

And bill the dump was better because more of your landscape was actually taken up(not enough interesting buildings) and I don't have to waste time checking the recycle bin.  Also the funniest AC commercial ever ran off of the existance of that dump.

However, the coffee shop it  awesome.

Completely agree, the point and click method of entering text is awful.  I keep finding myself moving the joystick around trying to move the reticule to the letter I want like it was on the GameCube version because I seem to remember it being faster than me struggling with the wiimote.  I don't know how many times I've had a typo because of it.   A keyboard would be incredibly helpful.

Also, when you are using the wiimote to type letters, etc. out, is there a dedicated "backspace" button that I haven't figured out yet?  I think the B Button handled deletion in the original, but it just seems to cancel the letter writing process in City Folk.

Can I customize my bedroom in City Folk? I'm asking you seriously.  I think in the GC version the basement was HUGE and the upstairs was pretty big too.

I really like the controls in this one. I can just relax with a single remote if I want, or if I need more accuracy I through in the Nunchuck, it doesn't complain or say anything, it just works. Its nice.

Bill I'm right with you. I let Maxi and Golden Phoenix shake my trees, but only because it was two people and the game is still pretty new. Soon I may ask for players to take what they shake or I will create a free pile of assorted fruits and things for people to grab from. You town can get a low moral score from leaving stuff lying on the ground. Like I said it was really no big deal, but then again- I didn't even bother to pick it up :P
