People are doing far worse things to City Folk than changing the calendar, like using hacks with homebrew. Those are the people to despise since they get all the money, all the items, alter the game mechanics and ruin the online experience for everyone.

Does anyone know what happens with Katrina's monthly charms?

My november one was to have a visitor plant two trees in town, which Bloodworth did, but I haven't heard back from him on if anything happened.

This month's is to have a visitor catch a Sea Bass in my town... Shouldn't be too hard.

Do they get something obvious for doing so? Or is it some sort of passive "luck" enhancement?

Is it me, or do I notice some graphical enhancements  on the items?

That Master Sword is beautifully detailed. The Koopa Shell looks awesome!

I have a one up shroom that looks just as blocky and pixelated as his koopa shell.  Pretty cool.  I've also seen a massive warp pipe in similar art style.

Speaking of which, is there some kind of acknowledgment in the friends list when someone adds you?

I've not seen anything change on my list, though I think you're the only one to add me thus far, Bill. I'm paranoid that I mistyped my friend code or something...

I'm in the market for coconuts. Anyone have those kicking around?

I planted one earlier this week that is growing. I'll PM you when it has fruit so you can take one.

A heart appears next to their name if they added you and the heart is filled in when you visit.
I have some coconuts you can have, SB. I added you with no issues.
I'm off from work so I  plan to open my gates this evening. I'll make a post later on to let people know when they're open.

I need to double-check my friend code, then, because I've yet to receive that hard next to Bill's name and I'm pretty sure we've both swapped codes.

I realize that it tells you if you've entered a bad code, but I might've copied it down right but wrong as in it fits the AC code algorithm but isn't my actual code. I'll double-check it when I get home from work and I'll also add you, Fleece.

On my game you have a heart outline next to your name, which SHOULD mean we've both traded the right codes...It's just that we haven't been to each other's towns yet...

That's good. It probably just means my wifi has been wonky lately, since I moved my Wii and no longer have it hardwired anymore.

Just get the game at a cheap price (or ask for it as a Holiday present) and use Wild World to send your progress to City Folk.

To be perfectly honest, I was in the same boat as you. But then I remembered all the fun I had with WW and since I had sold it CF was the best option. From everything I heard, CF does have some improvements over WW, and has many new features that make it worth going back a third time. Just forget about paying Tom Nook and enjoy what the game has to offer.

Besides, its just a game. You either get it or don't. Nothing worth tearing yourself apart over.
