Just in time for tonight's Splatfest, which starts at midnight ET / 9 p.m. Pacific, the squidkids will have a couple of new weapons to try out.

The Octobrush is a brush with denser bristles, causing more damage with a swing than the standard one. Its subweapon is the Squid Beakon, while the special will be the Kraken.

For those who prefer to kick it old school or really enjoy Splat Zones, grab the N-Zap 89. The weapon resembles the classic look of the NES Zapper and has quick-fire capabilities similar to the N-Zap 85 it is replacing for "legal reasons". Its subweapon is the Sprinkler and it has an Inkstrike special, making it ideal for Splat Zones matches.

Both weapons will be added at the standard update times of 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. Pacific.
