TalkBack / Re: No Online Multiplayer for Monster Hunter 3G on 3DS
« on: October 19, 2011, 07:22:25 PM »
In all honestly, no online multiplayer totally kills the desire for me buying this game.  That makes me sad... maybe when it hits the states it will be online? What's that? Probably not... lame...

I might get it depending if my house mate is willing/wanting to play a lot, but if not then I'll just have to hope that MH4 is done right.

Hey!  This is kind of a spoiler, no?

Really? A spoiler? In a Mario game? Are you serious? Here's another one: The princess is in another castle.

[/size]That was great.

I'm in the same boat, I am really excited for this game.  I sold someone on the idea of the 3DS the other day showing the gameplay footage of this game on my 3DS.

I'm still excited about this game as well.  Finally some good solid games for the 3DS coming out.  I just wish that there were more out already.  It's almost like the Wii for me, but they give me hope instead of taking it away after a few years.  I hope this is just the beginning.

Awesome, I'd ask if we could have that for NA, but they'd 'prolly see that as unprofitable like those RPG's that never got released over here :(.  At least we're eventually getting the game... right?

I love these games and can't wait for both versions to come to the US.

Another thought is the realization of what happened when Nintendo released the Wii Motion Plus and while it's cool, not many game devs utilized it and stuck with what came with the Wii to begin with.  Hopefully, this may actually spur devs to make games instead of them just making games and ignoring it.

In case it's not obvious, I'm in favour of this because it does silence some complaints about the 3DS I've heard from other people and it needing a 2nd joystick.  Oi, some people are never pleased.  I second the comment about it reminding me of the Game Gear.

I got a "no comment" about the future of the 3DS when I first heard about this and am wondering if there's going to be another version of the 3DS come'n out.  I kind of hope not... or at least they wait until later next year when they have a solid game base to stand on so they don't have to do another "punch yourself in the gut" price drop.  (Even though they are probably still making money off of it at $169 knowing Nintendo.)

General Chat / NWR Main Page Errors
« on: July 29, 2011, 08:41:03 AM »
Hey, I was just wondering if any one else is having trouble with NWR's main page.  It loads fine with all the pictures and such, but then gets an error message and says Internet Explorer has stopped working.  It tries a second and third time (all the while I can see the page fine), then errors again and leaves me with a blank page telling me sorry, we could not return you to the page.  Obviously the forums work though...

Any ideas, I'd love to be able to read more NWR.

Thanks for your time guys/gals.

This is about what I expected from the MCF games.  My wife plays them quite a bit, but we usually buy them for under $10.  I think I'll wait for a price drop for this one and then pick it up.  Thanks for the review.

I kind of expected this and I'm not disappointed since I already have a BD player.  No complaints from me.

That gun does look terrible in my opinion.  As much as I hated the Wii zapper for the games not having remapable buttons... this just makes it look so gimmicky it hurts when I don't want this system to come off as gimmicky.  Let the shovelware devs do that, not Nintendo. :(

I agree with you Strawhat, I'm a sucker for golden Zelda stuff.  I've got the DS lite and Golden pro controller (from Goldeneye but whatever lol).

3-4 years is a sad thought, how about holiday 2012?

Idiot. You can't something that hasn't even been TALKED about yet.
No need to resort to name calling, people can comment on things that haven't been talked about yet.  It's called speculating.  Kind of like what NWR was doing with the controller idea before E3 showed us how it is.
I'm still excited, I hope it's going to run below the $400 mark though.  I can understand if it doesn't... at the same time... I may not be able to convince the wife-unit to agree on purchasing it, which would make it all the more awkward when I walk into the house with one...

Honestly I don't mind the name.  It may sound a bit odd at first, but it, at least, has some originality to it.  Doesn't that count for anything anymore?
I'm also excited on how games will use the secondary screen on the controller (if they want to at all).  Possibly use'n it as a "pick your weapon out of your pack" or if they actually make a console version of Pokemon a certain one.  However, if someone wants to watch tv, I hope dev's keep that in mind to not make dig'n through your inventory clunky if your have to switch to your controller's screen.
I was very stand off-ish at first, but after watching the video of all the games and some other vids on the N's website, I think this will be a big win for them.  Since it's coming out in the 2nd half of 2012, they've got a decent shot at having a launch that has more than a few games in it... that aren't all Nintendo.

I put my support behind Twilight Princess.  That game was great and now for $20 I feel kind of angry that it's not selling well enough to stay at the $50 mark.  That was a very fun game, another in the line, I know, but I will be picking me up some skyward sword whenever they decide to put it out without hesitation.

I spend a good chuck of my work day, sometimes, supporting Nintendo to P60 fanboys and parents who really only know what thier kids ask for.  It does drive me nuts to really (and this is just myself probably) only have a few handfull of games to point out to people when they are considering buying a console.  That's how other people tend to take it.  Personaly, all those Marios and the Twilight Princess (plus others) were well worth buying the Wii for me, I loved those games, even if there wasn't enough of them.  I just don't see the games on the other consoles like those that Nintendo makes.  I really think this "Project Cafe" (if done right) could really be the shot in the arm Nintendo would like to get those other gamers out there that maybe aren't as impressed with the Halo's or God of War games when they could be play'n Mario or Kirby when they are done frag'n people on Modern Warfare 3.

I didn't feel the game was to slow either.  Some units just can't walk as far, and while I can see that as frustrating at times, it didn't completely bother me.  My only problem was the game crashing on me when I played it too long.  Samurai Chronicles hasn't done that to me, so it bothers me when I'm in 30 min a mission w/o saving since I'm being a dork, it makes my heart shaped place hurt.
