Could be.

Actually, the Wii is only a little behind the PS2 at this point in its lifetime in that market. So ltd install base isn't too bad, but the weekly sales do probably have to improve.

I'm more worried about the possibility that the entire console market in Japan has either shifted or shrunken, which might result in a lower ltd total for the wii than the ps2 achieved in that market.

It was meant to be a simplified RPG. I don't think it would work very well as an MMORPG because that would take away much of its simplicity and charm.

Seems to be fine on the TV show. Just set it up like that. I have no problem with the handheld games the way they are. I don't even know if it should be a MMORPG, just take the handheld games and make them full 3D on the Wii.

I think I'd like to address this notion now, that Pokemon could be easily made into some sort of 3-D Epic on a console.

This is an RPG that has more than 500 playable characters, not even including NPC models, or possible enemies.  It would be ass-grindingly difficult to make a game that would be able to incorporate all of them in a logical fashion, other than teh truncated way they did in Colosseum.  This is a franchise where Baby Steps are key.

Furthermore,a Pokemon MMORPG is a good idea on paper that would be an absolute nightmare to moderate and keep pure for the childrens on the internet, especially if there is voice chat, and I don't need to say why.

Like I've said, I never played the game before, but it just seems like it would fit MMORPG perfectly.
400+ pokemon to collect and level grind individually means some are gonna pick a certain few to work with.
People meeting at coliseums to battle for badges and regional rankings.
Some servers with p2p battles out in the wild where you can challenge a traveler to steal some of his pokemon(& money)
Training guilds, trainer clothing & special items to collect.
DSi connect to do some limited training & Pokemon maintenance on the go
connect to DS versions to get special items based on how complete your portable collection is.

I've never played the game, but it seems to fit MMORPG* perfectly to me.

*I've never played a MMORPG either, but I have friends that do/have.

thats not the same, because I would have to do the same with the controllers and accessories.
I also want a black Wiimote, Balance Board, Nunchuck,  Classic Controller, and they will all have black cords where neccessary.

You can use Rit dye and dye the entire system any color you want. All you need is a small Phillips and a tri-wing screwdriver, and a big pot. Not too sure about the balance board, but the controllers and system will work.
