It looks to me that the image just has too many fine details to survive the crunching down to 100x100, and look the same afterward. You need to find a more "basic" image. Or maybe we just need bigger avatar limits. Or signature pics. Or both

Much debacle.
I just made this new avatar for myself but relise that it doesn't match my sig or custom title at all! I can't really go around being fistworhy with emotional mute Presea as my face, especially not with bluey colours.

Should I drop the fist thing or change the avatar? Or just leave it like that?

Also the FIST persona is becoming slightly stale and hard to keep up. I could doa complete turn around and take on a Bill-like girly man persona

Hello.

I just put my new (and my first) avatar up. I used photobucket.com to host the image.

It's a photo/drawing (I'm not sure which) of Shirley Manson from Garbage, with some hands grabbing her hair. Since I have no photo programs on my computer (and no skills to use them) I used MS Paint to get the photo small enough. But I still think it's recognizable.

Anyway, I really like photobucket, but from what I've seen on some message boards, they have strict bandwidth requirements, and I see a lot red X's when people use them. But this should be okay if it's only an avatar, right?

I've never had a problem with photobucket. I only have about ten to fifteen pictures in my album.
