I agree. I personally have thought he was always a molestor, but maybe it's just media crap. Its hard to tell because we don't know the facts (or if the facts we claim to know are true) I hate how social rank can play a part in court decisions (not saying that it did, but if so, that would suck =/ )

I don't think Michael Jackson is a child molester. I think's he just a really insane guy who has no concept of how reality works. Basically he thinks like a kid.

It's perfectly normal for young boys to be friends with other young boys. It's also perfectly normal for young boys to have sleepovers with their friends. However if a sexually mature full grown man does these things it's considered weird and justifiably so. One would naturally assume that any man who wants to sleep in the same bed with any child he is not related to is a pedophile.

So if you have a situation where people are likely to assume someone is a pedophile you also have a situation where you can make some easy money by accusing that person of being a pedophile. It doesn't matter if the person is innocent or not. They're doing something very weird that only makes sense to them so right away you increase your odds of the jury siding with you.

I don't think Michael Jackson realizes how weird he comes across to the general public. I mean the guy has an obvious addiction to plastic surgery, he names his sons Prince Michael I and II, and he build a giant facist-toned statue of himself to promote an album release. The guy clearly has no concept of the real world. So he does something else that's weird and makes him look like a criminal and someone exploits that.

Though I will agree that Michael got off because he's famous. I think he's innocent but what he does with boys is so irregular that if he didn't have such a public life people would naturally assume he's a pervert. If he wasn't a celebrity we wouldn't know about all the other innocent but bizarre things he does and I think that's what saved his ass. His reputation for being "Wacko Jacko" allows people to assume he's just an eccentric celebrity instead of a pedophile.

The witnesses in this case were obviously questionable, the mother was just crazy. At least a few of the jurors believed he had molested children at some point, but the evidence in this case couldn't prove, presented by the prosecuter, that he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
