We got DDR Mario Mix in 2005.  Before that we had Yu-Gi-Oh, Frogger's Adventures, Evolution Snowboarding and TMNT in 2003 and TMNT2 in 2004.  There were also some Disney Sports titles mixed in there somewhere.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

"Another"?  What other Rev golf game has been announced?

I meant it in the sense that there will be for sure a Mario Golf game for the REV, which isn't bad but I'm just not a big fan of golf.

We definitely don't know enough about Red Steel to completely write it off yet, but yeah, I get the sense of it being "generic tough guy protagonist" kicking the asses of the generic bad guys too. Ubi's not known for the depth of it's characters, so that's biasing me somewhat of course.

...as opposed to those other action/advneture games in which the inner conflicts of character's psyches are subtly teased out through an illuminating, character-driven plot. Not saying such a game doesn't exist - I don't know, there are thousands of games out there I haven't played - but any action/adventure with decent characterization has got to be in a tiny minority at best.
Defenestration - the only humane method of execution.

Thats severely disappointing about the golf. Apparantly the PC version was MMO and great for it.

Problem is that it'll end up as a mediocre single player game with nothing special about it. Just wait and see.

Whereas if it had online that would completely cover up its mediocrity and infuse it with all the qualities inherent in a good game.

No, but it would provide it something unique so that it would standout from all the other generic crap. The reason the PC title was successful was because it was essentially an MMO golf game. Take that away and all you have is a mediocre golf game.

I like how it's a mediocre golf game without any sort of information suggesting this.

Then, why are you complaining if it was doomed to be mediocre from the start. The online would have probably sucked anyway.

It's funny how they haven't shown any in-game pictures but only artwork:
