Mega Man Marathon for Alzheimer's Association
« on: May 10, 2010, 10:58:28 PM »
Hey there!

Your friendly neighborhood Returners here (you really do need to be Spider-Man to pull that line off convincingly)! Just letting you know that June 4th starting at 6:00pm CST we are going to be kicking off a 72 hour Mega Man marathon over at http://returnersgaming.blogspot.com to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Format’s the same as always: game stream, commentary stream, and chatroom. We’ll be collecting through ChipIn, which requires either a PayPal account or credit/debit card to use. All donations are sent directly to the Alzheimer’s Association’s account when a donation is made, so we aren’t seeing a cent of the money we raise.

Neal's gonna be upset.  :(
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

My thoughts exactly. Neal can do a MMX marathon, I s'pose. All of the MMX games that are on the GC disk, anyway.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Umm...good for the Returners.

Mega Man Marathon for Child's Play is still in the works. It might be the same games, but we will do it differently. :)

You gonna one-life the whole thing?  I'd pay money to see that.

...you'll be lucky if I can one-life a freaking level...

I mean in other ways. Once "the team" (two of my friends and me) gets out of school, we're going to buckle down and figure out exactly how it is going to work and set a date.

If you can't beat all the games without getting hit once then you suck.

It's impossible to proceed in X1 without getting hit.

Someone should do a charity marathon on the second of those fights.  Kind of like those jumprope-athons back in grade school, where you get people to pledge $X per hour you can last before Zero has to rescue you.
