I don't really know what Nickmitch has done to cause people to vote for him, so...

You really want to duel with me? I have many a feared technique at my disposal and can give some of the greatest Jedi a run for their credits.

This is the second day you have voted against me. What is your game?

Vote Pale

I'm waiting until later today to vote out Nickmitch, because sometimes I just like to switch sides.

Also, Mop_it_up, the reasoning Nickmitch is plain as day.  Kind of sad, because had he contacted me, it all would have gone away.  Really.

Enlighten me. Is it just because he hasn't been around and therefore is likely the godfather or killer?

You might be surprised at some of my hidden skills, sweetness. I want to show everyone I'm more than just a pretty face, and the best way to do that is to take on a skilled warrior.

Not today. You and I may duel another time. I have more pressing things to concern myself with.

It's because it's such a stupid strategy to intentionally not kill someone.  As either of those roles, you fool the townies for one day doing it, resulting in, at best, one townie dead from the vote, the same number as if you had killed someone, but there's still not the full chance a townie would die from the vote.

I'm saying at this point, since nickmitch doesn't seem to have been reading the thread or logging in, there's a very good chance he's the killer or the godfather.  Really.  I can say that I at least did see Drew_MG viewing the thread, but that's not the case with nickmitch.  It's pretty good evidence to go on, in fact, it's better than probably anything else we could come up with aside from the investigator popping up somewhere and naming names.

The End.

If my vote were needed then I'd go with Nickmitch, but since it isn't then I might as well poke around for a bit.

Well, I've been contacted by the "investigator."  If anyone else out there is the investigator, too, they should definitely contact me, because, well, that could be bad news.

A lot of people have made the comment that I'm being quiet this game. I apologize. Unfortunately, I only have my iPhone and Wii to use the Internet. My computer is down right now. That and my work computer but since it is work, it makes hard to stop and focus on the game. Plus, no one seems to be in a jokey mood like last game. What's with that?

Anyways, it's frustrusting because I would like to do more but typing takes forever. I also think I'm losing my chops for this game. I knew Maxi was the right vote yesterday but I couldn't bring myself to help kill him again. In fact, I even tried to give him some advice to help him. Good for me. Maybe I'm just in a slump.

But I do want to say this, I think voting Nickmitch is the wrong idea. If he is the godfather or killer, leave him. He can't hurt us. He still hasn't shown up. Moreover, if he is the godfather, why would we help the mafia get rid of a lame duck and get a hit a day sooner than waiting for him to die from inactivity.

Maybe it comes from experience. When stevey defeated me in the Earthbound mafia, he skipped a hit one night. I then focused on the wrong players thinking it was a sign the the godfather was absent to make the hit. It cost me the game. While it may seem hard to believe that both the killer and mafia choose to skip a hit, there are other possibilities. One could have chosen to skip a hit, the other could have been absent or had his hit taken from him. For instance, what if the hit was stevey and they weren't around to change their hit when he won the vote? There's another theory. Anyways, this message is long enough and has taken forever to type.

So, I will VOTE PLUGABUGZ in harmony with that theory and leave it at that. An ineffectual vote but I gotta be true to myself. If you want to join me, great. If not, no problem.

One last thought. Why would Plugabugz vote for the person who started a correct vote for a mafia member yesterday? Seriously? I could understand voting for someone who voted for stevey late in the day to try and protect Maxi but there was no reason for GP to start a vote for Maxi. Why bring attention to a fellow mafia member so early in the game and especially when Maxi already gets plenty of attention. That's just a weird, bad vote to me. But maybe that's just me.

HEY!  LISTEN!

I had the following conversation with nickmitch a few minutes ago over AIM.

nickmitch (8:15:09 PM): hey, is NWR working for you?
nickmitch (8:15:19 PM): I haven't been able to get on in days
vudu (8:20:21 PM): megabyte was performing some maintenance both last night and two nights ago at around midnight pacific time.
vudu (8:20:27 PM): other than that it's been up.
nickmitch (8:25:13 PM): damn
nickmitch (8:25:19 PM): I guess it's just me
vudu (8:26:22 PM): you're coming under heavy fire in today's mafia thread.
vudu (8:26:26 PM): chances are you'll be voted out.
nickmitch (8:26:30 PM): ****!
nickmitch (8:26:41 PM): I can't even log in to defend myself
vudu (8:26:52 PM): neither the godfather nor the killer made a hit last night.  the working theory is that you have one of those roles.
nickmitch (8:27:03 PM): well
nickmitch (8:27:08 PM): that would make sense
nickmitch (8:28:09 PM): Could you speak on my behalf?
nickmitch (8:28:16 PM): you can take a screen of this, if you want
vudu (8:28:18 PM): sure thing
nickmitch (8:28:30 PM): I don't even know my role
vudu (8:29:07 PM): lol.
vudu (8:29:09 PM): that sucks.

I still think it's likely that nickmitch needs to be voted out but you gotta feel a bit sorry for the guy.  ;D

If he can't even log on, I stand by my point. He's nearly as neutralized as I am pecking away slowly. I stand by my point.

nickmitch has 5 votes; no one else has more than 1.  There's 10 minutes left in the day.  Good luck changing the results at this point.

The day vote is a discussion of opposing views. Who knows where that discussion will take a person. Sometimes, a player is killed for his view sometimes he is saved. I just didn't think there was enough discussion on the topic and I wanted to add my two cents and warn caution. Why are we going after a lame duck? We can have the vigilante take care of him it is such a slam dunk. We should be looking for real threats not dead ones. You find the godfather, you block the hit. Moreover, leaving him alive has some benefits.
