i have played about 30 megamans, and they can jjust keep on coming, i love that blue guy.  ROCKMAN.EXE is awsome.

On Topic-the major reason i think nintendo should advertise more- LOTS OF KIDS OWN CUBES, THEY DONT KNNOW WHAT IS GOOD SP THEY WATCH COMERCIALS, AS WELL AS THE PARENTS.  THEY SEE A GAME THA LOOKS "COOL" AND SAY I SHOULD BUY THAT, BUT IT ISN"T ON GC.  GO TO STORE, SEE LOTS OF MICKEY GAMES ON SHELVES, THEY MUST BE GOOD.  OH THE HUMANITY, THE GAME IS NOT GOOD.  WAIT, WHAT IS THIS, A ZELDA COMMERCIAL.  GO TO STORE AND SEE LOTS OF PEOPLE TALK ABOUT AND LOTS OF SIGNS.  WOW THIS WOULS BE GOOD TO GET I BET.  WOW IT IS GOOD.  ADVERTISING CAN SHOW GOOD GAMES.  LOOK AT ALL THE PS2 ADVERTISING.  I SHOULD BUY PS@ BECAUSE MORE COMMERCIALS.

about the trading, i thought that is what they were gonna do but i really HOPE NOT.

why you say...
I want to catch them in a new adventure which could be the cube version.  I really want to catch pokemon on the cube.  I magine the cool effects of capturing one.  It would be so rewarding in 3d.  I think, since you need R/S it should have 3d versions of kanto and johto where you character can go to.  That way you could even trade from old games and still have the 3d adventure.  Either way i want to walk around as a trainer and watch the battles in a field instead of a repetive background like the stadiums.  

LOVE the mini-games though.

in cae you all didn't already know, you can't change your image, people are to stubborn.  Only if you leave for a long time then come back can you change anything.  

I also think that image is an excuse to try anything.  What is your defintion of "kiddy" and "mature".  What do you want nintendo to do, say, "OK, we are now making mainstream games to make money instead of fun and quality.  Thats what people seem to want, cheap thrills as appose to those that are lasting."

In My opinion this is like comparing, say, a all-age anime like trigun or Escaflowne(this is NINTENDO) to shows like the Bachelor and Fear Factor.  while the first two may be more kiddy, if watched completely they give you a lasting feeling and can be remembered, while the second two can be enjoyable, but only at that moment, basically it is a cheap thrill.  

If Nintendo really did have an image, then no one could argue it, because it would then be an attribute, like size or color.  However that is not the case.  The only conclusion that can be reached from this is that the "image" actually comes from ourselves and our own personal expetations.  People have a tendency to think that the world sares their view, but that is not so, many people may find what is kiddy to be very fun and involving.

IMAGE is just a fancy word for stereo-typing.  It has some base of truth, but it is very small and exagerated.

I believe that we do deserve something better, almost all 3rd party game are games i dont even glance at for a second anymore, becuase i can almost certainly guess that they were ported over in 2 or 3 minutes.  A few exceptions, Capcom, Square-Enix, now Konami if they do what they say, Factor 5.  It really is sad.  But i am not to upset, as most of the games arent that good in their original format anyway.

Nintendo's solution- make their new system irrefutable, make it so impressive that people will have to pull there pants back up.  Nintendo is seemingly holding something back money wise, but i think they have a strategy, which seems will be associated to the next-gen system.  Just a very vewry strong feeling i have.  i know nintendo is working hard now, but it still seems like there is a suprise yet to be seen.

about the difficulty

kids from 4-5 all the way through 30s and 40s are gonna be playing it.  Nintendo probably thought, hmm.. well i dont want kids to not be able to do ANYTHING at all and never beat it, but i dont want adults to just finish it in one sitting.  So i will make the game multi-dimensioned, with exploring everywhere and lots of extra stuff to do.  And since I, THE GAME DESIGNER, LIVE IN JAPAN!!!! I will use the MOST POPULAR FORM OF ART WE HAVE.  ANIME.  and don't tell me its not anime, Kiki's delivery service, my neighbor totoro, princess mononoke, spirited away, even Grave of the Fireflies.  Zelda, to me, should have a cheery and happy attitude.  It is an adventure that you would of dreamed about when you were younger, traveling around, meeting people, finding stuff, and being the hero.  These are the elements that "made" zelda.  The darker atmosphere is, i think, only slightly apparent in OoT, and had it been possible graphically at the time, i believe we would have seen something that looked more like the WW.

I hope they use the cel-shading 100000 more times.  I loved it from the first internet shot.  I thought this book had a great cover.

yea i have read several official reports, but dont remember where, i think on ign and in EGM.  But i am positive it is coming out first and in 2005.  Positive.  almost..........  Anyway, yea.... umm... I believe it.  I think nintendo is not gonna drag out the systems life, but try and use it to spring themselves onto the new system.

First of, Caliban, i thought the tempest was shakespears best, very fun story.

Second, i dont know what to take pictures of at all, what is the person the guy is talking about to take a picture of, when you first show him you have gotten the regular pictobox.  I have no idea.  Can you tell me what and where i am supposed to photograph, something about someone mailing letters.

you thought it was easy, i think the gym bosses are impossible, maybe cause i started with grass.  I beat Blue so easily i never died once, i always thought that was the easiest in the installment.  My frined also started with Treeco and he thinks it is harder too.  Maybe i just need to lvl up more.

I am fine with a new one, but...... I want the first one first then hit me with something new.  And nintendo is creative enough to work something out with the button scheme.  I bet next gen handheld will have 4 buttons though, and possibly a analog, but not one that sticks out, maybe have an inzerted analog, where there is a little ditch for your thumb and you could roll it nice and easy, that would be confortable.

poke-mon means Pocket Monsters in japanese.  They obsessive over cute characters over there, pocket monsters is a game of all cute character, therefore the merchandising is infinitely profitable.  

Any Pokemon r/s is really really really good.  It is quite challenging, nice looking, very creative, cool characters, and just alot of fun.  I am 20 and i think it is great.  Age has nothing to do with games man.  If you like rpg's, then you'll like this game.

rpglover, samurai jack was my second choice, it has such a cool look, almost mezmorizing.  Very cool.  Also the story behind it is awsome.  Anyone who has seen Noir, that would be a fun shooter game.

Cel-shading can have such a definitive look and can give you a feel of a game easy.  There are so many ways to make things look and move.
My Question is: What cartoonists style would you like to see a cel-shaded game based on and why?  

Don't just say anime, give specific names.

Although i am the biggest Otaku i know, i would have to say Jhonen Vasquez who does Invader Zim, Squee, the Bad Art Collection, and of course the famous JHONNY THE HOMICIDAL MANIAC series.

The reason i choose these art style is it is so sharp, yet so twisted.  Everything looks scarry and evil.  The colors work beautifully.  And the people are just so cool looking.

they could do a very realalist zelda, but, thats a big step.  First off all, would he be adult or kid. (I posted somewhere that the links from OoT, how they split at the end, should have to come back together in a new game, to restore complete power and lead the way to the final 2 zeldas.  Think of the crazy puzzles. and character diffrences.)  Anyway  I don't know how i would like it being toooo realalistic.  I think if it cam out with graphics like RE i would be dissapointed.  They would HAVE to do the graphics low key to make it feel like zelda, or only improve slightly.

hmm....., thats a tough one.  Sonic Adventure was really fun on the DC, but that is coming to cube.  PSO was my favorite game evr made ever, online that is.  well thats about it, oh wait, Grandia II.

ANIMAL CROSSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how could this not be mentioned, you have a wife, you might not want to get it, girls become dangerously addicted and you would never get a chance to play again.


Next is a very strange game, but very fun and interesting.  It is called Cubivore.  It is so weird.. but alot of fun and weird......  Yea i gotta agree with all other recomendations.  Especially SSBM.  that game is just fun fun fun.

ED, if you are intellectual, you will love it, but gotta get past Karim's stuff to really have fun, that is chapter.... 3.  

Skies of Arcadia Legends.  as a fellow DC owner, i am sure you have heard of it if not played it.  But i waited till the cube version to buy it and it is great.

If your wife plays with you might wanna get beach spikers, me and my Girlfriend play it alot.

Definetly get a GBA SP if you can, if not get GBP.  GBA has so many good games, and even tons of new sonic games... well 2.  But they are new so they are fun.

I also bought a PS2, but i returned it in 2 days.  Wish i could play xenosaga, but i will live i guess.  Also have an XBOX, favorite game on there is Unreal and Oddworld.
