Hope you came early!

With the launch of the Wii U within spitting distance, NWR's Ariel Ruff (along with more than a few other people) headed to the Nintendo World Store in New York City. Here's a glimpse of what he's seen:

6 years ago I was part of a similar madness. Looks like a lot of fun.
Nintendo players and One Piece readers, just better people.

EASYCURE: I remember thinking(don't ask me why) this was a blond haired, blue eyed, chiseled athlete. Like he looked like Seigfried before he became Nightmare.

I went out to Walmart at midnight and bought Mario.  I didn't want to have to deal with it tomorrow when I pick up my preorder at Best Buy.  One guy ahead of me was able to snag a Deluxe without a preorder, and I think another guy in line caught a white version just by chance, but after that, the guy said every other system was claimed.  There wasn't a big line, though it's just a 24 hour store and they weren't specifically doing a big midnight thing.

But, I have my first Wii U game in the house!   :cool;

I'm curious about the line at NWS too, back in 2006 it wrapped almost around the entire block, like down to Radio city Music Hall.. crazy.

I'm kinda glad I didn't go, I would of loved to of contributed to the site but if the line was anywhere as big as it was for the 2006 launch, I would of gave up (because I wouldn't be buying a system anyway).

I just saw the pics pop up yesterday, so I would assume it happened yesterday...?

But really, I'm not sure. There are a few more photos in that set too.

I believe those were taken on Friday.

Though if they wanted to represent what Miis people actually made it'd be a wall of Peter Griffin, Darth Vader and Hitler.

So do all the white ones, and all the asian ones. In the second photo there's 14 faces but only 4 different ones.
