Just finished watching arrow.  Now I'm no critic, nor am I terribly hard to please. However I am I the only one who feels absolutely nothing for the characters?

The only 2 characters I feel a tiny little something for are Huntress and Laurel.  I honestly think that I feel more upset when that bird got killed than I would if any of the characters got bumped off.

Aside from that it's an OK show.  Mind you I'm a sucker for superhero awesomeness.

Actually, it wasn't.  Just happens to be a coincidence I guess.

Just started watching Dexter and finished the first season. I really like the show, though it's a little hard to root for someone who is a serial killer with dozens of murder victims under his belt (even if they deserved to die).

Finally starting Firefly. A few episodes in, I'm enjoying it.

An excellent choice. Make sure you watch Serenity after you finish Firefly.

And if you want more Nathan Fillion awesomeness, have a look at Castle too.

Agreed. Firefly is incredible. Definitely watch Serenity, and if you still can't get enough the comics are quite good as well.

I'm with you. And I think my wife would understand.

I haven't had the chance to have a read of the comics yet. I'm really interested in the Shepherd Story.

Oh what I would give for a new series.......

Back then she was basically a completely different person.

She has developed a lot since then.

Ultimate Spider-man

This show is HIGHLY entertaining.
I caught a few episodes while at my girls mom's house for Xmas (kids were watching it), and now I want to catch up on the whole season before #2 starts next month.

I didn't catch the whole Batman: Brave and the Bold, but this is obviously Marvel's version of that formula (with a heavy influenced by Teen Titans though). One of the big differences being that Spider-man is highly sarcastic and therefore hilarious at times (sometimes you are lmao, other times you are smh). I've only seen the first 5-6, ending with The Hulk cameo (that was the only weak episode so far), and another 2 episodes from somewhere later in the season, but I haven't laughed at a cartoon like this for a long time.

It's heavy in jokes, cartoony slapstick sidebars & cameos
I think Stan Lee has an appearance in every episode I've seen so far.
It's aimed at the kids and the adults to watch together, so keep that in mind when checking it out.

True. I was disappointed that this post didn't get more appreciation also. I may have been on the losing side. Still not convinced that it was the wrong one.

Lilyhammer. American mafioso trades in info with FBI, and asks to be moved to Lillehammer... in Norway... because he watched the Olympics. Great show. Kind of makes me want to visit Norway after watching it. Such a calm life.

Edit: On another note, to those that are fans of the cartoon TV show "Adventure Time" (I have yet to see any full episode), the creators of that show have their own YouTube channel and they also have their own shows there. Some of their stuff is not exactly geared towards kids. I honestly like Bravest Warriors more than the other stuff they've created so far, but have a look:

Pendleton Ward? What else has he worked on besides Adventure Time? His character designs look very familiar... Almost reminiscent of "Codename: K.I.D.S Next Door".

As for other modern cartoonists, I've always loved John Kricfalusci (Ren & Stimpy), Craig McCracken (Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends), and Butch Hartman (The Fairly Oddparents). I'm still surprised that Fairly Oddparents is still showing new episodes, while Danny Phantom was cancelled a few years ago.

Speaking of cancelled cartoons, does anyone else miss the Jimmy Neutron cartoon?

Pendleton Ward didn't create Flapjack.

The show was created by cartoonist Thurop Van Orman who has worked as a writer and storyboard artist on The Powerpuff Girls, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and Camp Lazlo.

Anyone else here watch and like "Happy Endings?" Dude, that **** is hilarious.

I forbade my wife from watching "The Carrie Diaries" because "Sex & the City" is a crime against humanity. It actually worked. She's not going to watch it.

just let her watch it, with the horrible rating it had, it won't likely live past episode 5 anyway.

Then again... don't chance it. Better safe than sorry.

oh, and I think Happy Endings might not be having one... [on the fence] :(

It's on The CW, it doesn't have to do that well to be on the air (for example, 90210 has averaged a 0.8 rating for the last 2 seasons).

Apparently there was some minor uproar because they did not include shots of the World Trade Center even though the show is set in the 1980s and they had a scene right next to where the WTC was located.

I'm convinced the only reason Community is still going at this point (like Fringe, this time a year ago) is not because of writing quality or ratings but purely to make it to 100 episodes.

NBC does co-own the show (with Sony), so they do have a financial incentive to get it to syndication. But at this point I don't see how it can get another season when the ratings keep dropping every year for it.
