Sure didn't. The Nintendo 64 version didn't either. Or the Game Boy and Game Boy Color ones. Whoever publish Natsume's games are too cool for school. ;__;

Infernal, the SNES one was easily the best anyways.  Don't worry about it.

Harvest Moon is one of those few third party games that's as good as a Nintendo first party game.  The original SNES game is number one on my list of SNES titles I wish I bought back in the day but didn't.  I'm really looking forward to this game.  And best of all my brother is a huge fan so I may be able to convince him to buy it.  Lord knows he's convinced me to buy a lot of stuff.

Oh and Berny's cow is awesome.

lol. Thank you, Ian. I think she is too.

As for Harvest Moon, I'm wondering what they could be doing with the extra month or so Natsume is giving itself... what improvements will be made? Will they improve the GBA connectivity (which by the way I don't see Nintendo pushing as hard as they used to)? Or are they adding more characters, more crops, more livestock, and best of all, MORE LADIES? This game will be GREAT.

U-S-A Baby U-S-A!!! NO but really Harvest Moon is a great game, though it can somtimes get repetitive. The game was an instant classic on SNES along with Secret of Mana and Mario ect. But yeah I'm looking forward to it! Oh, and everyone should name thier horse pokey and thier dog fatty.

does anyone know if harvest moon will use the gamecube's internal clock?  that's the one thing that really kept me away from animal crossing.  i work a 9 to 5 job and i don't play much on weekends, so my gaming time is usually reserved for weekday evenings.  this prevented me from being able to shop, meet certain people, etc, in animal crossing, and i'm worried that it will ruin harvest moon for me, too.

No it doesnt use the enternal clock . Each dau goes for about 15-25 ( although it should be extended )which feels short with everything going on at times.

so if the game spans 30 years, and each day in the game lasts about 15 minutes, that means the game should have about 114 hours worth of play time?

Not it's actually split up into chapters. Plus your calculation is off... waaaaaay off. Time stops whenever you enter a building in Harvest Moon(only HM3 runs in realtime) you could be looking at anywhere from 200-300 hours of gameplay.

You will eventually get sick of it , but believe me when I say this , you will come back to it.

eg. I played HM STH for about 3 days straight , I got sick of it , but came back to it 2 days later...the game just keeps on pulling you ....back in to its world.

i know what you mean. for some amount of time it has you completely obsessed and you turn into an harvest moon crazy insomniac. and then when you start getting tired of it, it almost hurts to pick the game up. but sooner or later it'll up again giving you no rest. ...one gameboy game to rule them all...
Mario Kart 64... no better game exists.
