I'd been tempted to get the game - it's just one of those things that hits the right buttons for me.  "Collect them all", additional hardware, neat gimmick, etc.  I had made up my mind, I wasn't getting it - but I showed it to my wife who said "That is pretty cool." - we went shopping and stopped by TRU where I was going to check out their b2g1 sale and had planned on picking up some DS games I've been on the edge about.  When we got there, we discovered the sale applied towards the figures as well... at that point, my resolve was broken and I loaded up the cart.

I wish I would have known that this weekend.  I think my son might have fun with the figures.

The sale just started Sunday - lasts through the week.  I picked up everything TRU had (Wii, 3DS versions and one of each figure) for about $200.  Had to swing by Target to get their exclusive figure.  Sam's has an exclusive figure, but right now, it's only on their website.  Best Buy has an exclusive thing that unlocks a level, but you can only get it in the full set - which I'd rather get b2g1 at TRU.

I was trying to convince my Wife this was a good idea.
If I got the 3DS Version, PS3 Version (Its easier to find its controllers), Both of the expansion sets.  All I would need is a Wind Figure to have all the elements.
