Nintendo Gaming / Deal
« on: June 29, 2003, 08:33:45 PM »
I'm sick and tired of getting the worst video game deals! I did just what you did, Big_Pimp, and now you can get the GCN, a fifty dollar game, and a preview disc for $150! I spent $110 more dollars than that! I also buy nearly every good game the day it comes out (read: 1st party, or 2nd party game) for $50, just to see the game sell for $19.99 six months later. In fact, I've bought every single Player's Choice game for $50. I also spent $300 for a PS2! And bought 9 games for $50, and now 7 of then are under $30!

To get back on subject, I saw the same deal at my gamestop store but it came with a preview disc for the same price.

Nintendo Gaming / I think I finally may skip a year of football.

I personally am going to skip this year as well. Well, atleast for now. I plan on picking up the games a few months after their releases for about $30 cheaper. Is it just me, or have been games been getting discounted way sooner than they used too?

Nintendo Gaming / pic of the cherry gamecube?

Hey, um... the Gamecube was originally supposed to be launched in 5 different colors. The color you refer to was actually a hot pink hue. But then again, I guess you could just be thinkin of the GCN DEV.

General Gaming / Is there anything superior about the X-Box or PS2?

Well, I think this is a very interesting thread- I love seeing what my fellow gamers think. For me, I think the best system is GCN, but that's just my opinion. I'm fond of Nintendo's 1st party games, which I think are the best in gaming. All systems have pros and cons. I think currently Nintendo has had a pretty steady stream of grade A games, with more in the comming season. I think the BOX doesn't have quite the stream of games, but when a great game is released, it is AWESOME!!! (Panzer Dragoon Orta, Halo, anyone?) Whereas the PS2 doesn't have as many great titles, they have A LOT of games that definitly don't dissapoint. Now, I have to give XBOX credit for it's online games. Gamecube rots in that category (WHY ISNT MKDD!! ONLINE?!) and PS2 is decent, but atleast they're trying. GCN definitly has some of the games with the highest production values, polish, and overall greatness.

Well, my friend has beaten Splinter Cell, with me watching him almost the entire way through. I don't think the game was in anyway revolutionary, or amazing. However, it is one of the better gamecube games out there. I'm pretty lazy, and so I haven't read the entire thread, so excuse me if what I say is totally out of the question- If you wanna play Splinter Cell real badly, the XBOX version is the better choice, and I like GCN way more than the (scary music) BOX! What I'm gonna do is wait for Pandora Tommorow, the Splinter Cell sequal comming in Q1 2004. The demo on Nintendo's hard to find Preview disc gives you a great example of what to expect from the game, (except I found the demo to be a little on the easy side)

Nintendo Gaming / Amazing Deals!
« on: June 27, 2003, 07:45:06 PM »
Well, here are some deals I've recently found...

I have found Gamecube strategy guides at a closing K-Mart store for a cent! They were just sitting on the shelf, and I asked the clerk about the price, and he just said they needed to get rid of 'em, so of course, I bought them all, which ended up being about 30 guides. Well, to your advantage, I figure that any going-out-of-business K-Mart should have these guides.

My Blockbuster has the entire 1st and 2nd series of E-Reader cards for .99 a pack!

Target seems to have cheap games, but in my opinion, they're mostly a pile of crud. I've come upon Scorpion King, Haven (PS2), Frogger, Wreckless, all for $5.99. They also have cheap games for other systems if you're interested.

Best Buy has Tony Hawk 3, SSX Tricky, and Timesplitters 2 all for $14.99. I find it interestiong, though, that the GCN Preview Disc is $39.99, while the PSone demo is a lousy penny. (It's labled $100.00)

Hey, I'm not trying to break the rules here about chatting PS2, just trying to help out fellow gamers- KB Toys has Ninga Assault with the GunCon for $20, it's MSRP is $60!

If anyone cares, I live in Independence, MO, FYI
