Look, like I said, if someone is saying to me "Here, take $10,000" or "Ok, take this coin, flip it, if you get the side you call? I'll give you $10,000" I'm taking the free 10K! The point? What the bloody hell is wrong with pre-ordering the system? Seriously, maybe I don't want to go to a store launch day with a 90+% chance of finding a system? What if I want that 99.9% chance? Do I think you all are stupid for not pre-ordering? Of course not, that's your choice. But don't try to make people who did come off as paranoid and/or stupid, that's just plain bullheadish. As I said in the pre-order thread though, what the hell is the problem with preordering? If you know you're going to get it, why not make sure you get it?

I will actually own one of these sometime between Nov 3rd and Nov 7th, and man can I not wait. I am particulary looking forward to playing all my Cube games via my component cables on it (Have a 27in HD-Ready TV now but it's 1. Not 16:9, 2. needs to have the cables put into a different socket when using pro scan, and 3. I've seen this monitor in person....I need to play my games on this thing.) I simply wish I could afford to get every single one of you who don't have one or something better one of these too /tear

Edit: Far better link

Overheat, I am an ASM (Assisstant Store Manager) to  a GStop myself.. The info you've given out should be just fine. And to all who have this issue with preorders I offer you the very logic I use for myself....If you're going to get it, why not make sure that you do? No need to roll the dice, when you don't have to. (The rhyme was sheer accident) Long story short, why make it difficult? If you know you're getting it, drop some cash and save yourself the hassle of hunting it later (Namely for your games and accessories, systems are another story entirely but the same logic can apply).

Bill, my fellow fan, I have news in case you haven't heard. I saw at the computer at work today (GStop Asst Store Manager) that Super Swing Golf Pangya (Just SSG here *iamcry*) has a shipping date of 12/12 IIRC. Here's hoping this pans out and we get it! I demand Kooh! I demand that game! I demand JApanese voice track w/ subtitles!

Wow, I've apparently lost my mind. I just plain don't see this magic lag. I thought the game responded realistically. Welp, I'm apparently blind. Screw Wii now. it is obviously made out of phail. My launch plans of Tony Hawk, Red Steel, Madden,Trauma Center, Metal Slug, Zelda, BIG DAMN TRUCKS, 2000 points, 3 chuks, 3 wiimotes, and 1 classic controller (with SuperSwing Golf...Dec 12 according to GStop current list! Pleeeease be true and have a Japanese language option w/subtitles...be good to me Tecmo, you do that in DOA damn you! [Asst Store Manager at my local GStop, oh and just to dispell all this employee hate? We had strict limitations on how many employees could pre-order PS3s thank you very much. I can't vouce for the other stores, but at least at mine we honored those rules and stuck to the employee restrictions.]) are all shot now, the magic lag killed it.

Because that was an era from which Nick didn't suck. See: Are You Afraid of the DArk, Rocko, Ren and Stimpy, Roundhouse, All That [ the good seasons w/ Lori Beth, Kenan and Kel and hte like], Legend of the Hidden Temple, Doug, must I go on? Once Spongebob moved in? Everything went downhill....

Nintendo Gaming / Official Fusion Tour Wii Impressions Thread
« on: September 28, 2006, 06:23:51 PM »
Sure I'm no one to make an "Official" thread, but I figured there should be one with the tour being started and all. I plan to go to the Nov.5th Kansas City stop (Yay for hometown visits!), regardless of whether it's a mere two weeks prior...Iwant to play Wii! Ahem, anyways, I thought this couldbe the thread for anyone whodoes go to share their thoughts on playing Wii, I mean what a great way for us to hear random people's opinions other than journalists hmm? (Bote: I value journalist opinions as well )

I trust this person a great deal so I know she won't lie to me.
But I don't trust the people who give GameStop their info that much.

I work at GameStop as well. Senior Game advisor here in KC. It was my understanding that the manager's conference (The big manager's meeting...damn I want to go to one! It's what E3 is going to ebcome, except strictly for managers) doesn't even happen until October. 174.99 would be one hell of a strange pricepoint to see. Oct 2nd is even more strange due to Nintendo's Sunday launch tradition, noteable exception being the two new DS Lite color launch though I wonder if that counts. I'd take that friend's quote with  a big grain of salt because I ahven't heard anything of the sort personally (Furthermore, my manager hasn't attended any meetings lately).

Nintendo Gaming / RE:When's the Wii launch date?
« on: August 30, 2006, 09:37:40 PM »
You heard it here first. Either October 29th or Nov 5. for the date.

Price: 199.99

Contents - Wii Console, Remote, Nunchuku, Classic Controller, a set of "Nintendo Coins" for use in the Virtual Console, and WiiSports.

Stretch Possibility pack-in - Demo disc featuring Smash Bros E3 video, playable MEtroid, Playable Wairo, SMGalaxy Video, Zelda Movie (Doubt playable here), 2-4 more videos and about 2 or 3 3rd party payables. (But the demo disc is strictly  a stretch)

Lastly, the Wii will be available in 2 colors to focus on mass production. A very shiny Black (to be named as Charcoal, or somehting similar) and a plastic covered like-Wite (To be named Diamond). Those color re-names are compelte guesses, but those will be the colors.
