Interactivity trip report special: Armageddon 2011 NZ
« on: October 23, 2011, 12:43:46 AM »
It's that time of the year again, the one and only thing of interest that happens in NZ regarding Pop culture is here: Armageddon. Set this coming Labour weekend in Auckland, NZ.

Saturday Oct 29th
– 9am to 6pm
Sunday Oct 30th – 9am to 6pm
Monday Oct 31st – 10am to 5pm

Normally I wouldn't bother writing a whole trip report and it is frowned upon to treat the forums like a personal Blog. However it is a once a year thing and there is a kicker for the forum goers out there. Mostly due to general disinterest I have in the line up for this year, I have decided to open this trip up to everyone.

What does this mean for YOU?

For 3 days you get to send me out on tasks of no importance! There will be some rules, but joke submissions that are doable maybe considered. The rules follow:

It can't cost money. Unless you're going to pay for it or is something I would have done myself, this is nonnegotiable.

Not illegal. Duh...

Must not unfairly impose on a third party or me. No stalking, nothing sexual, must be work safe, etc. Be reasonable. Forum rules still apply.

Must be photographable.

Be specific. No open ended tasks. IE, review every game on the floor.

2D photos only. May change if I can find that SD card reader and somewhere to upload them....

Coverage priority will be based on Well Known Forum Members and Staffers > Anybody else. You know who you are.

Rules and additional rules are subject to change with no notice.

-----

Basically, if you want something photographed or interacted with in a photo or covered in this show, this is your chance to call the shots. This is open to anybody to the forums, NWR staffers included. Questions and results will be posted in this thread.

Well this has been disappointing. It has killed any remaining enthusiasm I had for going. Project cancelled.

Mods, feel free to gas this thread at leisure with extreme prejudice.

I had just found this thread too...

I was going to see if you ask Sylvester McCoy what thoughts were going through his head when one of his first jobs on Doctor Who was to throw on a Wig and pretend to be the previous doctor?

That had to be a "What did I get myself into moment."
