So, if they ported  Lair with improved motion controls, would you buy it?

I wouldn't play Lair no matter where it went.  Once was enough.

I would really love just a straight up Rogue Squadron 4.  As long as they didn't try any of the stupid stuff they did with 3.  Or like someone said above, if they actually put some effort into on foot missions and what not.  In Rebel Strike it was like torture you had to endure to unlock awesome flight levels.

I'll agree that Rebel Strike was great when you were controlling some sort of vehicle but even then when they annouced Rogue Squadron 3 I rolled my eyes because they already covered the original trilogy in pretty good detail in Rogue Leader.  It felt very redundant, like Lucasarts was forcing them to bust out product that didn't need to be made.  If it wasn't for a cool pre-order bonus and multiplayer Rogue Leader being included I wouldn't have gotten that interested in it.  A fourth one seems even more unnecessary, unless they went into the prequels.  But then I would rather have someone pull my intestines out of my ass than play it.

Nope, I wouldn't buy it. It doesn't have appeal to me. At least Rogue Squadron has the appeal of the Star Wars franchise. I guess it wouldn't hurt if the made another Star Wars game based on Episode 1-3. I mean, those movies sucked, but it would be nice to see something different, yet still Star Wars.

I'm saying the Wii doesn't have enough graphics whores to sell FPSes to.

I'd be interested in an expanded universe setting, continuing the adventures of Rogue Squadron after the films.  I think it would be neat to see them create and follow their own original story.

That would be awesome.  I don't know if many of you have read the X-Wing series of Star Wars books, but there are some awesome battles in them.  They could make some real magic if they did it properly.  Then we could open into the Wraith Squadron side of things too, also covered in the books.  There is another whole new set of battles and missions again.

comments like these drive me nuts. Factor 5 wants to develop for the wii and your hoping for a pilot wings remake.  Its like if Silicon Knights wants to develop for the wii and someone hopes for a super ghouls and ghost remake.  Come on.

Well first of all, he didn't say "remake"...Second of all, it actually makes sense to have a developer with flight game experience working on a Pilotwings game...

However, I don't think I could trust Factor 5 with a franchise I actually care about...

Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Nintendo core... *chuckle*

I think I'd rather not see another Pilotwings made, I can see nostalgia killing the game dead right out of the gate especially if a third party made it.  They'd be better off releasing the original on the VC, that is if the tech allows for it...  I remember that game being one of the harder SNES titles to emulate.

It makes me sad that FPSs are so set on fancy, realistic graphics.  Monolith used to make some unique FPSs (with color, even!).  I wish they were working on a sequal to Shogo right now instead of one to FEAR. ):

God I hope not.  Give that to a dev that knows how to do on-foot.

Team Fortress 2 says hi.  Very clean, stylized look without the grunge and plays great too.

The genre's been stale for 15 years so no wonder the TF2 looks fresh.

I was very happy when Valve announced that TF2 would be cartoony instead of the realistic approach they were originally working toward.  But TF2 is very much an exception to the overwhelming trend.
