the "other" big cel-shaded game

While we run around like chickens with our heads cut off over the new Zelda game, i think there is a game who takes cel-shading to an ENTIRELY diffrent level.  I'm talking about the mysterious looking game called Killer 7.  The drawings seem to fade into each other almost mesmorizingly.  Every character looks almost like a surreal painting.  And the blood is just the nicest i have ever seen, not because it is realalistic, but just its glowing color and the way it splats very realalistic.  The whole look so far reminds me of a very jazzy game, but much more darker.  I would appreciate comments on this other cel-shaded game.

Zeldas out next month, Killer 7 is out...2004?  Thats why it isn't being talked about as much.  It is absolutely cool though.

Notice how all cel-shaded characters and environments up to this point in time seem to have the thickest black outlines ever? I think that Nintendo and Capcom have taken this absolutely revolutionary form of game graphics to the next level: NO THICK BLACK OUTLINES!

Killer 7's graphics are more stylish than Zelda's (obviously). See how the shadows on their clothes and stuff change VERY smoothly according to the light? Very cool.

But I (and everyone else) WOULD like to know more about this game please Capcom!

I definetly wouldn't say Killer 7 looks more stylish than Zelda- if you think that, you obviously haven't played Zelda because it is EXTREMELY stylish. The game reeks of artistic design. Not that Kiler 7 doesn't- it's style is very ambient as well, I just think Zelda's has quite a bit more style packed into it. Anyway, I really don't know much about the game, though, so I don't know if I'll like it. In any case it's coming out sometime this year, though (All of the Capcom 5 are except for Resident Evil 4).

I've read that P.N. 03 is the ONLY Capcom 5 title coming out in 2003. The other four are all expected in 2004.

Viewtiful Joe is scheduled sometime in September 2003.
PN.0.3. is scheduled sometime in the summer.

RE and Killer 7 are 2004.

I am uncertain about Dead Pheonix.

Killer 7 has more style than Zelda? From what I've seen, which is a lot, Zelda has far more more style. As well has having far superior graphics technically.

Does anyone know if there are any videos for killer 7 floating around?  It looks great in the still shots I have seen.

You can find a video of all 5 Capcom games on their official Capcom/Gamecube site.

I would link you, but I think I'd be breaking the rules.

ah, well, i suppose we will have to wait then.  I was just very attracted to the game...... "very". *ahem*.  I do know his enemy is a man called the hands of God.  I do know the game is called Killer 7 for your 7 personalities.  and i do know you are supposed to be WHEEL CHAIR BOUND????  But the fact you are wheel chair bound already lets us start thinking of a vengence plot.  Anyway just keep posting if you find stuff out.  And about it not being stylish.     Thats like comparing potatoes and shoes, they are just WAY to diffrent to be worrying over somehting so stupid.  It IS trendier as in it has this... " HEY BABY, ITS ALLLLL GOOD HERE.  KICK YOUR FEET UP, STICK AROUND, HAVE A DRINK."  Zelda is more like..... "WOW      LOOK AT THIS AND THIS AND THIS,  THIS IS THE COOLEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO".
i suppose that K7 makes me think of Barry White and Zelda .....maybe Bob Marley.  A weird way to think but theres your music diffence.  Also i may say it is like a mellow and hip jazz for K7 and a more well adventurney and exciting theme for TWW.  As i said two diffent sides to the same coin.

Killer 7 is my most anticipated title out of the five announced by Capcom.  I totally agree with you all in saying that K7 is extremely savvy cool, in a sophisticated gastapo type of way.  The art direction is ground-breaking, to say the least.  I really want this game.
