I'm liking Alpha Bounce so far, the powerups can be pretty damn overpowered though. If you get a lucky Q (sucks everything except the outer rim of the level into a black hole) the level can end almost instantly, if it's followed by an O (splits the field and moves it outwards, eliminating two columns on each side by pushing them out) it's guaranteed. The first levels I played were overloaded with powerups where one powerup would break some bricks and release more powerups but now I've worked my way (it uses a grid based overworld and has you explore space) towards areas with very few powerups. Since it wants to be a kind of RPG as well there are items scattered around that you can collect and put into your inventory, then equip your paddle with them (like various balls, lasers, ...). You don't get extra lives, instead when one paddle dies the next one in your "party" spawns so it's important to find more paddles (and balls for them, can't field a paddle without a ball). Was a bit hard when I only had the regular and an ice ball (anything it touches can be destroyed with another hit but it won't break anything with just one touch) between my two paddles.
