According to destructoid we're going to get the exact opposite: Monkey Island - Episode 1 and another Sodoku game on WiiWare...and no Virtual Console whatsoever. That's two weeks in a row now, so you can really see Nintendo's resolve with this whole "Virtual Console" thing. They're really dedicated to it.

It seems IGN has posted the official press release from Nintendo, which expands upon destructoid's forecast somewhat: We will be getting three WiiWare games (Monkey Island - Ep. 1, Musketeers, and HB Arcade Cards) and one DSiWare game (Sodoku Student) today...and still no Virtual Console games whatsoever.

2 straight weeks with no Virtual Console games, and this just after Denise Kaigler said in a interview that Nintendo makes sure to release 1 Virtual Console game every Monday.

Tales of Monkey Island looks good.

The 3 WiiWare games are all being released for the first time here in North America (meaning no other region have them yet). The DSiWare release, "Sudoku Student", has already been released in PAL regions as "Sudoku 50! For Beginners".

Sorry for the lack of update last week. Had lots of things on my plate.

Todays games

On Wiiware we have OVERTURN and it costs 800 points. This is a Robot fighting game. It also has online and Balance board support.

Sexy Poker costs 500 points...I don't think I need to explain this one.

On the VC we have Tecmo Bowl.This is the arcade version. This I believe is the first VCA game released since the inital 6. It costs 600 points.

On DSiware we have Art Style:precipice.It costs 500 points.

I will post vids and reviews in a min.

Well we got something, so that's good. I'm a huge Tecmo Bowl fan, but if this is the same version that was on the Tecmo Arcade collection a few years back I'll have to pass, in my opinion it was nowhere near as good as the NES original that's already available on the VC.

Actually this is the third time we've gotten an arcade version of a game already on the service. We got the arcade Altered Beast after getting the Genesis version and we got the arcade Space Harrier after the Master System version.

How is the Arcade game different from the NES game of Tecmo Bowl ??

So instead of nothing we get a double dip . lame.

Overturn might be fun. It has local and online multiplayer modes.

Custom Robo pales in comparison to Gotcha Force. Here's a better thought: Make a Gotcha Force sequel, Capcom! On the Wii they could even recycle all the old borgs to save costs and add some new ones plus new controls and all that jazz.

The "Nintendo Seal of Quality" has been gone for a long time now, it's been replaced by the "Official Nintendo Seal". All that means it's that it's authorized by Nintendo to be released.

If anybody wants to gift me a game, I would be more than happy to receive it.

I agree. I'm curious. Plus online is a nice feature.

One nice thing about the strip poker game is that it confirms that we can in fact have M rated WW games. Good sign if Animales does try to come out on WW (though I know it is not anymore, but it could change). Also the game Last Flight is M so glad it will not be barred from the service.
