1/3rd? From what I'veread there will be nine episodes.

ughhhh. I was hoping they would combine so its 3 you need.

$8 x 9 : $72 for complete game.

The hell with that.

Why even start.

Indeed.  If it does turn out to be that much, that's a big No Sale from me.  I don't pay $72 for my PS3 games, so I'm sure as hell not going to spend that much for a wannabe SNES cellphone game.

I noticed that on the VC Friday's thread, Greg listed that that each subsequent episode will be 300 points.  If that pricing structure holds here as well, then the total pricetag is a little more palatable.
$8 + $3 x 8 = $32 for complete game.

That price is acceptable, as it would place it at just a little less than Telltale Games is charging for their 5 Adventure of Monkey Island games.

Actually, the first pack is three episodes, and subsequent packs are just one, that's why there's two different pricing tiers.  I believe the last pack will be three episodes, as well, and will be $8, like the first.  The rest are $3, like the Rydia episode available.

Swords and Soldiers sounds interesting, I haven't taken a look at it.  Anyone want to convince me to buy it?

NintendoLife gave it a 9/10 and IGN gave it an 8.7

I've been looking foreward to it for a while. You should get it. I am once payday rolls around.

It figures that WiiWare would get good again (FF IV: AY and Swords and Soldiers) just as I'm in no position to buy anything, with Ghostbusters next week; Arkham Asylum later this summer; and various DVDs and Blu-Rays over the course of the next month.

Don't forget the crazy awesome June 23rd triple-threat of Conduit, Indiana Jones and Overlord amd WS:Resort on the 9th of July.

Payday for me is on the 24th of June but sometimes the checks are ready a day early.

I can wait on The Conduit and Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis (with bonus extra "Indiana Jones & the Staff of Kings" included), and I have no interest whatsoever in Wii Sports Resort.  I still need to buy Punch Out, though.

Then why does the WSR thread say July 09 in the title? Maybe that's just saying July 2009? The thread OP says 27th so I guess that must be it. My bad.

So far for tomorrow we have "Eduardo the Samurai Toaster" for WiiWare confirmed. Also confirmed for sometime this month is the TurboGrafx-CD game "SimEarth" for the Virtual Console. That means either tomorrow or the week after. As for DSiWare, I think one of the 3 Art Style games PAL regions have that we don't (Decode, Nemrem, Kubos) could also be out tomorrow.

No DSiWare games this week? At least they make up for it with 3 WiiWare games. We also finally get another Virtual Console Arcade game. Eduardo the Samurai Toaster looks pretty cool.

That would be neat (and very Sin and Punishment 2-ish), but no, you cannot use the pointer.

Might want to rethink that--it's apparently not very good.

From the reviews I have read, Eduardo is a good game. Go ahead.

The people at NeoGAF (who tend to not like good games on Nintendo systems) like it too.

Wow, if they say it's good, then it must be something nice. I still want to know where Vudu read it was not a good game, or if it was from personal experience.

Oppinions seem split on Eduardo, some hate it, others like it.

On Metacritic they usually tend to have the most positive review on games so why do you think that's like an 8/10?

I was referring to how WiiWare World tended to rate games lower than other sites do. Lots of people view 6s and 7s as poor or mediocre but WWW viewed/views them as OK/good games. I'm I conveying that to you right? I would think you understand what I mean because you frequent that site as well.

IGN gave it a 5.7

Quote
Once you start your adventure you'll find a generic run-and-gun action game that can pretty much be completed by holding right on the D-pad and mashing the fire button.

This is what I thought of the game when videos first started emerging several months ago.  It just looks so utterly dull I can't fathom why someone would want to play it instead of the countless similar games already available on VC (Contra III, Gunstar Heroes, etc.).
