Flames I plan on getting that. I grabbed Snk Arcade classics:Volume 1 recently and plan on getting The Samurai Shodown collection when it comes out.

So basically putting all those games on VC are only for suckers who don't know any better or don't to buy a collection ?

Or it's a rental program.  Your pretty much right though.  But what about all those suckers buying the S-queer remakes?

People who aren't obsessed with the King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown series might rather pay $9 for the best one than full price for a bunch of very similar ones.

Yeah, who buys a collection of fighting games and really plays all of them regularly? You might play through the worse ones once to see the boss but there's no real reason to play anything but the best version after that.

Well part of the reason I am getting the collection is because it is a good value and I haven't played a neogeo before the vc hit. So it gives me a chance to get lots of my games for my money. As Insanolord pointed out it is good to have choices. DAaaMan64 I recently got FF1-2 and five. So once I grab a DS and 3 I will not buy any more FF games not even the DS remakes.

Here's how I see the game collection vs. VC/XBLA download issue:

VC, XBLA downloads
Pros:
-You get the game YOU want to play
-Easily accessible, no disc needed
-Cheap
-Some versions have bonus features like online play and achievements

Cons:
-In the Wii's case, trouble with storage
-it might take a while before your favorite game is released
-Points

Collections on disc
Pros:
-Get the game you want and more
-Cheap prices
-You might discover a favorite you might have ignored before
-Bonus features and extras in some cases

Cons:
-You might get stuck with one good game and a bunch of mediocre/crappy ones
-You need to load the disc

It all depends on what you want. I honestly prefer to buy collections on disc because I get more than one game. I love all the SNK fighters, so having nearly all of them in one disc is very convenient.

Plus it's better to own a disc because that is something that will last.  What happens if Iwata goes insane and hits the self destruct button, which destroys all Nintendo building on the world and the Virtual Console servers are gone for good?  If your Wii breaks after this, you'll never be able to the games you downloaded on the Virtual Console back EVER again.

With a disc, even if your Wii breaks someday and Nintendo is no longer around, as long as you can find a working Wii, you'll always be able to play the game.

For wiiware we have Midnight Pool for 800 points.
VC has Megaman on the Nes for 500 points and Neo Turf Master on the Neo Geo for 900 points

Same for Megaman.  Mine as well pick this one up.  I see it at Gamestop all the time used for around 5 bux.  Its has the same VC game plus a bunch of others.

I've been playing a lot of Gyrostarr, this game is pretty damn cool. It really didn't get started for me till about level 22. Also I wish the motion controls worked better, they would be badass if it was a little less sensitive.

Hell no, the game would be deathly boring otherwise.  You just start a game, then enter your initials and click once to the left on the level select and it'll give you the last unlocked level.

Speaking of which, how many levels are there? I'm on level like 32.
