Toki Tori seems to be scoring a point or two higher in the reviews I've seen. I got Toki Tori when it came out but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet and I'd love to get Gyrostarr but I have 13 blocks available and not enough stuff I'm willing to lose for it.

Is there a way to make the d-pad on the classic controller work in Gyrostarr? It seems like only the joystick works, which is pretty stupid...

I only played through the first few levels this morning before bed. It's kind of annoying how you can shoot pickups into the distance and apparently off the track when attempting to pick them up. :/

I had to delete the "save" data for the Nintendo and internet channels to make room for it. I only have 3 blocks left now. ):

Yea it mildly annoying. You just have to use that to your advantage. For example you have all of these enemies around you and a power up or energy is coming up so you shoot the power up or energy then deal with the enemies then grab the power up or energy. Also find out the item placement and level. I made it to level 24. I need to figure out a strategy for it.

Just beat level 24. The purple enemies it introduces are a pain, but I still managed to get through it on my first try.

I d'know if the framerate or art design is more to blame, but it's kind of hard to keep track of everything on the screen. The energy blobs in particular blend in easily with your shots or the lights on the edges of the track or the ripples in the enemy spawn gate at the edge of the track. Also the camera is really jerky in the faster areas. It would have benefited greatly from a rubber band sort of effect that basically every decent camera system ever has implemented.

This game is actually pretty difficult for me. It seems you have to get into a groove...and if you are on...then you can play and do no wrong. But if you are off, then you are going to die or miss the energy orbs to advance.

I haven't tried this game multi-player yet, but I really want to. It almost seems 2 players would be significantly easier.

Perhaps 3-4 would be too confusing though.

Has anyone seen the trailer for Spogs? The way the entire screen moves for each turn, while the Spog stays in the middle of the screen reminds me of one off those cheap Acclaim handheld racers you could buy back in 93'.

This could possibly be the fugliest commercial product produced in the last five years.

Wow, finally a properly done third person camera in a racing game. I thought those died with the SNES. Why would you WANT the racing thing to turn? The camera shouldn't give you pretty views, it should show you where you're going. I just can't play racing games with delayed cameras, having to watch your own car to see where you're turned sucks.

The Wii version is coming out soon, PS2 version is 14.99 but suffers from emulation issues I dont know if the PSP suffers through the same issues. Wii and PSP versions are 29.99.

The big problem with SNK Compilation is that it suffers from the SNK first game curse.

World Heroes, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, King of Fighter 94...are all really bad compared to later entries.

The only games I think I want on that compilation are King of the Monsters, and Samurai Shodown...but I will wait for the Shodown compilation disc for Wii.
