If I don't post this Mondays VC games by 8:00 pacific time then my source didn't get the PR yet. Then you have to wait for tomorrow.

Well it looks like there isn't gonna be any VC games come Monday because of Wiiware. So here is the Launch Titles Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King 1500 points.Lost Winds 1000 points, Defend your Castle 500 points, Pop 700 points V.I.P. Castle: Blackjack 700 points and TV show King 1000 points. Out of the above titles Lost Winds, Defend your Castle and Pop are are the only ones that interests me. Woah, two games that we had almost no inkling of! Has anyone heard of castle blackjack or tv show king?

Defend Your Castle is priced as the cheapest? Impressive. Pop itself is 100 points higher than I would have liked.

My current list of WiiWare wants is

Dr. Mario
FFCCMLaK
World of Goo
Lostwinds
MLE
Pop!
Tokitori
FFCCMLaK DLC

But the only two that seem to be there at launch are

FFCCMLaK
Lostwinds
Pop!

... So I guess that's where I stand. I hadn't budgeted in Castle Defender though, so I may contrive some way to inject that in there, or maybe some other surprise hits. Man that FF:CC DLC is killing me though...

For me I know I'll be getting Dr. Mario, Final Fantasy, LostWinds, World of Goo, and Strong Bad. I'm open to the other games too but I'll see what people's impressions are.

Dr. Mario is the only reason I still have money left on my Paypal account waiting to buy me some Wii Points come Monday. If it ain't there this week, I can hold of till next, but after that I am settling for Mega Turrican and Phantasy Star 3.

My Wiiware wants are as follows.
Animales de la Muerte
Eternity's Child
Gravitronix
Gyrostarr
LIT
Lost Winds
Pop
World of Goo
As you can see the Majority of these titles are New IP's and are being made by new developers. I am gonna support these new Ideas and new developers so that these new developers can become the next big developers in the coming years.Isn't that what Wiiware is all about.

Yeah, there's been a flurry of new Wiiware announcements. I think I may have to update my list Maxi!

But the toughest thing about knowing what WiiWare to put on my list is that no wiiware titles have hard release dates. None of them gave up any release info at the Nintendo Media Summit! I mean, I have no idea if LIT is really coming out this summer or not, nor Strong Bad.

Yes Kairon that is a problem but look at it this way you won't be flooded with all the titles you want but can't afford them.:)Now we know that we won't be getting any VC titles this Monday.So do you think that when we get WW titles we won't get any VC titles or do you think that when we get like 1 WW title we will get like 2 or 3 VC titles.

1 WiiWare title a week seems pretty slim, maybe two would be better. Aren't there more than 100 titles in development, and aren't they easier and quicker to make?

Maybe they need to split WiiWare and VC releases, making VC releases Wednesday and WiiWare Monday?

Well I was just saying Hypothetical if we get less WW titles we should get more VC titles. I like your WW and VC idea although I would reverse the days. This whole VC and WW is a juggling act for nintendo.

I'm already salivating at the thought, perhaps irrational, of WiiWare compilation retail discs. Just grab four best-selling Wii-Ware titles, stick 'em on a disc, and go? ... hmm.. sort of defeats the purpose though.

Not really, IMO. I like the idea of one day being able to own the classics physically because they are not restricted to a single system and are guaranteed to last a life time, unlike the Wii Ware service.

In any event, I thought there were a number of other titles launching with WiiWare? I've written a number of the press releases including Protothea and Toki Tori and both had said they were launching with the service. I was looking forward to grabbing Toki Tori and Lost Winds day 1. Oh well, Lost Winds will be it I suppose.

GP, if you're curious as to why other outlets reported Dr. Mario for Monday, it's because they made gross assumptions. Their sources were likely speculation surrounding the WiiWare video featured on the Nintendo Channel, which did indeed feature certain WiiWare games. HOWEVER, the video did NOT label these games as launch titles, and unscrupulous internet types made that leap of faith on their own.

They may still prove correct, but there was no hard evidence to begin with for the titles in the WiiWare video to launch on Monday. The video merely said something to the effect of "Let's take a look at what some WiiWare titles must be."
