I'm starting to suspect that VC releases may be inexplicably following traditional gmae sales trends, where Q1 and Q2 are sleepy game sales seasons, so too might companies be less inclined to release games in this time period even digitally?

I wish we were being treated to VC games like we were this time last year. Unfortunately we've got some big good Wii games around now, so Nintendo doesn't need to make up for a drought.

Oh yeah, you're right. February and March are CHOCKFULL of important Wii releases... so I think it's time to strap in and buckle down for two months of Urban Champion clones guys!

On gonintendo the games this week are Operation Wolf for the nes and Columms 3 for the Genesis. It looks like these are games 198 and 199. Do you think we will get anything amazing for 200?

On vc-reviews.com they have Kirby's Dream land 3 and phantasy star 2 rated by the ESRB. I haven't played either but I am interested in both. Also do you think we will get anything amazing for the 200th game on the Virtual Console?

Phantasy Star 2? An RPG? ... MANA FROM HEAVEN!!!

Oh, and I owned Kirby's Dreamland 3 on the SNES. It's a really charming game, and not at all difficult. Truthful to it's "game for beginner's" inspiration, Kirby remains a platformer that's actually relaxing to play! Also... 2-player co-op! Goo-ey is so awesome!

This mondays games are Harvest Moon and Lords of Thunder. I purchased Gates of Thunder last night it is a fun and challenging game. I made it to the 4th level. very fun game.

Dream Land 2 and Dream Land 3 are still relevant, partially because of Rick, Coo, Kip, and others. They aren't as good as Super Star, but there's still fun to be had.

This coming Monday is sequel week one game is the third in the series of awesome hardcore nes action series and the other is a game that I told you guys about in one of my previous posts. What are these mysterious games? The first is Ninja Gaiden 3: The ancient ship of doom and the second is Phantasy star 2. Have fun!

An RPG that I had on the Sega Mega Drive Collection for the PS2. Even has three savestates instead of one there!

Also I should add there was a GBA game of Phantasy star 1,2, and 3 a few years back. If your interested in the series. That'll give you the most bang for your buck.

Yeah, that's the same reason I haven't been tempted by most of the Genesis offerings; what wasn't on the PS2 compilation was in Sonic Mega Collection, which you can play on your Wii already.

I'm glad they didn't port the Genesis Collection thing to the GC, because I would have done the same thing I did with Sonic Mega Collection, bought the disc and then bought the games on the VC anyway. It's just so convenient to not have to worry about what disc is in there, be sitting on the couch watching TV and 15 seconds later be playing Sonic The Hedgehog 2, I'm weak.

I'll admit I've done that for cartridge games I own that I'd have to hook up a different system to play (most of the N64 games), but to pay for all the Sonic games on VC would cost more then I paid for the original GCN game five years ago, and I don't love the hedgehog *that* much. I did, however, buy Wario's Woods even though I have it unlocked in Animal Crossing because that is one game/memory card I'm not gonna lug from home to school just to save five dollars.

And on a separate note, playing with the Classic Controller is serving to remind me of all the first-party SNES titles Nintendo has yet to release. They put out every crappy NES sports title they have, but no Super Mario Kart or Star Fox? I know they're spacing them out, but I've never gotten a chance to play those (other than with emulators).

Also, does anyone think they'll put up Mario Paint? Maybe with Wii Remote support?

Mario Paint would be a good game for Wiimote implementation. I think that we aren't getting all the popular games at once because we would run out of the good games. Also I am sure that there are lesser known games that are good that have yet to be put on the service.
