It's been nearly 20 years, but Toon TV is back on the air.

A very early title of the GameCube is coming back in high definition this week on Switch.

Cel Damage HD, a remaster of the 2002 GameCube car combat game, will release on Thursday for US$9.99/C$12.59. The release was first announced via the nintendo.com game list, but the remaster previously appeared on PlayStation Vita and Xbox One.

The vehicle-based combat of Cel Damage focuses on cartoon weapons, and as the name implies the game is best known for its cel-shaded graphics.

I never thought that THIS would get a re-release.  Though apparently it already did five years ago.  Huh.

I remember playing it back in the day during the Gamecube post-launch drought when everyone was desperate for anything to play.  This is the same time period I actually gave Simpsons Hit 'n Run a go.  I can't remember if I rented Cel Damage or if my friend bought it but I know I played it with him.  I recall it being a perfectly acceptable time waster for half an hour or so but it quickly got boring.  It's just a game.  There's nothing I can really rip it apart over but it isn't exceptional either.
