I watched Piranha DD. I liked the original. It was SyFy-level camp with some bewbs. Piranha DD is one of the worst movies ever made--I recommend avoiding it hardcore.

But I just added to my Netflix list a few days ago....

I remember the director as the one from that show Project Greenlight, which produced a decent for what it was horror flick called "Feast" (it wasn't good, just not nearly as bad as you thought it would be).

I figured Piranha DD would be the perfect movie to revive MFT in the Funhouse with.

I liked Feast. Never saw the sequels. I heard they were terrible.

Just watched Piranha DD. One of the funniest, OTP camp-horror films I have seen in awhile. Lots of it is pure self-referntial gold. And it is gloriously gory. And yeah, bewbs.
So, give it a try and prepare for goofy, gory fun.

And Ving Rhames steals it. Close second place for the Hoff.

I sorta enjoyed it myself, but I can't call it a good movie.

The first sequel was so bad I had to turn it off. I didn't know there was more than one.
And I LOVE bad movies, well, movies that are so bad that they are good again.

Feast 2 was trash. It wasn't even entertaining enough to make fun of.

Wild Target
This was the last movie I had on my Netflix DVD queue before they changed the plans and I downgraded to the streaming only plan. It only took a year to get around to watching this. It got mixed to negative reviews, but I enjoyed it. I consider Bill Nighy to be extremely underrated. Emily Blunt was hot as usual, but more importantly, she played a perfect foil to Nighy's character. Rupert Grint was kind of just there. This movie isn't terribly original, but I didn't feel like I wasted my time. My only real complaint about this is that there's a pretty big unresolved plot thread though I suppose you can infer that with a certain character's fate at the end and no leads, there's nothing more for to be said about it.

Killers

Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher continue to prove to the world that they can waste more oxygen than anyone else in the world. Knight and Day had Tom Cruise Charm spoofing himself and his own movies. Killers has Tom Selleck for 5 minutes. I rather watch 100 minutes of whatever the below came from than to spend another minute talking about Killers. Stay the hell away.

Just finished watching it. Good movie.

Also watched End of Watch. Another good movie.

2 for 2 so far.
Next up is the Possession.... and then maybe Lawless, if I'm up for one more.

End of Watch would've been better if it hadn't been a "found footage" type movie because some parts left me confused. The story and characters are otherwise great.

The Possession was also pretty good for a "based on a true story" demon possession flick. Sam Raimi did a pretty good job.

Now I'm waiting for lawless to begin.

Sam Raimi didn't direct that movie. According to IMDB, a guy named "Ole Bornedal" directed it.

He didn't say Raimi directed it. And Raimi did produce it.

People usually associate movies with their directors. So I just assumed that's what he meant.

Not always though. For example, everyone associates The Empire Strikes Back with George Lucas even though he didn't direct it. Obviously every situation is different, but sometimes a producer can have more influence on a movie than its director.

But George Lucas created the Star Wars series, it's his baby. Therefore it's only right that people associate all the movies with him.

It didn't make George any less resentful that the best movie out of the original Trilogy isn't really his baby.

He gets rich from it, and most people associate the movie with him (only hardcore Star Wars fans even know who the director was), so I don't think he could care less.

It's good, but I think part of why people say it is the best is because of when they grew up.

Dark Knight Returns - Exceeded my expectation/10

And here I was worried they were gonna cock it up, but this movie is GREAT. Shot-for-shot with the comic sometimes. Just brilliant. I didn't think I'd like Peter Weller, but he pulls it off.

we were 4 out of 4 today.

I would recommend all these movies on your Netflix/DVD rental list.
