Super Ubie Land Hits Wii U This Fall
« on: June 28, 2013, 04:39:47 PM »

Coming to an eShop near you!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/34802

Super Ubie Land will be hitting the Wii U eShop this fall according to a Tweet from Notion Games.

Super Ubie Land is a 2D platformer that ran in to some troubles with Ubisoft concerning the original name "Super Ubi Land." Luckily, they've renamed the game and are on track for a fall release.

The game was funded through a Kickstarter campaign that ended April 8 of this year. The Kickstarter page calls it a "love-letter to the classic 2D platformers of the early and mid-90s."

I realize that for the Wii U to have sales success it needs more variety, but if I were just look looking at my own selfish desires I'd be fine if two thirds of the system's lineup were platformers. That might be my favorite console ever.

Okay, even with the name change, when I first saw the name of this article, I thought this was Ubisoft's cheap clone of Nintendo Land.
[Showing off game collection]

Oh yeah, I know I have 2 sealed copies of that game.   1 is for trading.  But people who collect Amiibos?  They really have a problem!

I've actually thought that all along...  Haven't been paying much attention to it.  Perhaps I should have been?
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.
