Hi all,

Thank you all so much for signing up. The size of participants has really fired me up in hosting this game. A long time ago, Shyguy talked about how he wanted to see a Triple AAA Mafia game and that idea has always stuck with me. My enthusiasm for this game has increased to the point that I am going to do my best to finally fulfill that idea and show what I think will make for a Triple AAA Mafia game.

To that end, I am going to incorporate an idea that Pale used once and was never repeated but I think will add to the fun of this game. In Pale's Pokémon game, everyone was to roleplay a character and given a Pokémon avatar. Then, if those players got deceased, the avatar was updated with the person's character now in that deceased state.

I've talked with Insanolord and he has been kind enough to help me out with managing the avatars. As an Admin mod, he can change people's avatars so I just have to give him the link and he can update it. When the game is over, you can all go back to your regularly scheduled avatars.

This means though that some of you need to start choosing characters. Some of you have and I am creating the correct sized avatars for you now. I will also post pics in this thread of other characters so you can choose an animal that looks interesting to you. It doesn't matter if you don't know what the character is like that you choose. I haven't even encountered half of them myself in playing AC. You can build and create the character to be anything you want it to be. As well, you do not have to roleplay if you do not want to. It's more of story purposes and just adds to the fun of the game. Roleplaying can help save you because you might get to live an extra day if people find you funny and they target someone else because of it. Of course, if they find you annoying, you could end up dead sooner so it is a fine line but my hope is that it will just help everyone get more into the spirit of things.

If you have someone you want to play as, list it now to save me time. If you need to save the link to your current avatar to load it up after the game, please do so now. Be sure to check in here in a few hours to find more characters.

If you would like to help out in this regard also, feel free to volunteer.

EDIT: Actually, finally found a good link that shows a picture of all the different kinds of villagers available for choosing a character right here. Choose one from here.

And here's a page showing a bunch of the recurring main characters that you can use to choose from also.

Just name the character whose picture you like and I will make the necessary avatar.

There is but one character that I feel I could play in an Animal Crossing themed roleplay of any sort. a character that could fit the long winded and introspective sort of posts I strive for with complete and utter scientific accuracy! He also happens to fit in with my Nocturnal nature and would allow me to just properly articulate my thoughts and opinions through the process of my first Mafia game!

Ladies and gentlemen, probably the animal crossing NPC with the single most ammount of dialogue of any character in the entire series! I present you with none other than...

Yeah, Insanolord seems incapable of changing people's avatars after all so that's probably why no fears or respects him like he craves.

If you want to host your own avatar of your character, you are free to do so. Apdude can help provide you one as well. I guess we'll do it with out mod assistance.

You don't have to know the character you choose. If you just want to choose an animal that looks interesting from one of the pictures on the pages I have linked in the original post, that's good enough. You can then create a personality or identity for that character anyway you want even if it isn't accurate.

Or I can always choose one for you if you don't care what you get.

You could always go with the Villager from the new Smash Bros if you want to be a human. If you want to just be a generic villager, I'll allow it.
